Didn't see that coming. Have to ask where is those extra resources coming from though? Running four cars in one series is already a big task itself so this seems like it requires a lot more, unless Roush or RPM is selling their team to them.

My guess

Well, Haas does own a Formula One team. Manufacturer backing as @Blood Eagle said could also be why.

Somehow, I completely forgot about the F1 team. Guess that Ford backing would be the most reasonable answer. When it comes to life, I hope they manage to persuade a certain driver in the 6 car over.

Talk of either a split ride between Cole Custer, Tony Stewart, and Bowyer next season or Custer full time. It depends on how Custer does the rest of the year in Trucks plus if they can make the budget work. They'd be essentially running the team out of pocket when Custer runs

In the 00, correct?

Custer's dad is a high-level manager at Haas CNC, right? I'm pretty sure Haas is currently sponsoring Custer's truck team, so it would make sense that his sponsor would follow him as he moves up. If Haas is going to sponsor the car, it probably makes more financial sense to also own and operate it. Maybe, if the kid can drive well enough, he can replace Danica in about 3-4 years.

Concerning Dancia, that's kind of questionble in my opinion. Sure, she can't drive, but I'm sure she's worth quite a bit in terms of marketing and merchandise for the team. Not that I think she deserves the ride in Cup, but is it possible they may move her down to the Xfinity series to trade places for Custer when he's ready for the Cup level?

At least in Xfinity, she'd be able to contend for top 10's.

I did. Tony was asked in his Friday press conference about him filling in for one of his drivers in 2017 and he said Yes. After that he said that the team really doesn't have anybody they can call up on to fill in.

Looks like you and I were thinking the same thing. I'd love to see Bubba get a shot with a bigger team

Fox criticizing nascar? *gasp*

I know, right? They could've easily said just the few years with NBC (if they really wanted to be 🤬 about it), but they said since 1994. Quite the surprise. Also, quite the paddling the are inviting from NASCAR.

Funny enough, I think Fox is actually at a point where they don't need NASCAR anymore. With UFC basically shoving the hell out of there series damn near every week as well as their coverage elsewhere (even with those cringe worthy shows, though the one with Katie Nolan is far less cringe then anything Cow turd appears on) , I don't think NASCAR is as big a necessity as it used to be.

At least in Xfinity, she'd be able to contend for top 30's.

FTFY :p

Well honestly, I don't think that easily would've automatically meant they had a Xfinity team coming. That is a good point though, they would've easily been able to just ask Hendrick or Dale Jr for a driver had they stayed with Chevy. With Ford (and I'm willing to bet closer to Penske and not Roush), they definitely don't have much of a choice (unless Austin Therault or Tyler Reddick count).

This coming weekend, it's NASCAR Trucks and Cup at Pocono and XFINITY at Iowa. Iowa and the Tricky Triangle this weekend, at least among the top three Touring Series. More NASCAR goodness coming your way.

1. Ryan Blaney. Unless Kezza is serious about Tyler Reddick. Though Daniel Hemric could be a contender.
2. Maybe they can get Bubba in 2018 or late 2017 if they decide to expand.

Unfortunately, Tony's doing good now, so the 2 that look the most similar will be near each other in the top 10, Danica's on the other hand

Now im gonna have no idea who is who during the 3 wide restarts
The day has either gone very well for Danica or not well for the other 2 if they're all involved in a 3 wide restart together

I could see that restart happening if:

- Harvick's pit crew decides to screw up
- Stewart speeds on pit road
- Danica has a typical Danica day

Bonus points if spotter confusion leads to contact.
