Hey, you... yeah- YOU! Are you ready for some football? Preseason action begins tonight! So this will be our first chance to see the various teams prepare for the upcoming regular season. Remember that Preseason doesn't mean anything. Win all the Preseason games? Good. Lose all the Preseason games? Still good. It's just dress rehearsal. Just make sure players don't get banged up heading into the regular season.

Having said that... good luck to all of your team(s).

Saints at Patriots is GO! This game is on NFL Network in case you're looking for a Preseason game tonight. New Orleans recently fumbled the ball as New England now has the ball as of this post. 13:58 left in the 1st Quarter.

I'm interested to see the Los Angeles Rams' game tonight hosting the Dallas Cowboys in Preseason action. Just want to see the atmosphere and stuff. And of course, I'd love seeing their blue and gold colors, especially the beautiful vintage Los Angeles Rams blue and gold colors. It will be different seeing Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum with the L.A. Rams after having seen the stadium used by the USCal Trojans. I maybe wonder if the Rams may use the Rose Bowl to play their games.

My Texans don't play until tomorrow night, so I won't be talking Texans football tonight. Enjoy the Preseason games!

It's a packed house at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Dallas took the opening kickoff and went coast-to-coast for a touchdown. I think it is cool for the NFL to return to Los Angeles. What I sometimes wonder is if maybe the Los Angeles Rams could play a game or two at the Rose Bowl.

This is all Preseason, of course. So don't buy too much into wins or losses. I do feel concerned over Carson Wentz after his injury.

FINALLY the Texans get to play some football! We won 24-13. We drew first blood scoring a touchdown on a scoop-and-score. Defense was weak in the first half by Houston. We got our act together as Tom Savage was just operating. Not ballin', but he did a very good job. He was basically playing like he should be the 2nd string QB for the Texans. Not that I know the Texans' depth chart at QB or anything. Anyhow, we got the win.

Up next for the Texans in this Preseason... we're back home to host dem' New Orleans Saints this coming Saturday night.

Congratulations to all the other winners this first Preseason weekend.

The Olympics are cool and all, but [gridiron] football is pretty awesome too. So enjoy the second week of Preseason action. Good luck to all of your team(s).

Ralph Wilson Stadium becomes New Era Field.

Interesting stat though, the Bills have not made the playoffs since the stadium was renamed from Rich Stadium to Ralph Wilson. Could this be the year to finally make the playoffs?

Did dem' Texans beat dem' Saints? By a score of 16-9... yes! The Texans played much better on offense and defense in this game than in the first Preseason game at the 49ers. Brock Osweiler played better than he did in the first Preseason game. The team kind of cooled off in the 2nd Half but still managed to keep the Saints grounded.

Congratulations to all other winners of this week's Preseason games, including the Bills blanking the New York Giants and a the Bengals defeating the Lions in a little GTPlanet inner-forum rivalry.

Cardale Jones is starting to look promising. That is what EJ Manuel should have looked like when we drafted him. He threw an interception, but, still looked good.

Tyrod is looking good too. As long as the offense stays healthy, I see a good year possibly coming.

The defense though...Dareus suspended for 4 games, First round pick Shaq Lawson out for eight weeks or more, Second round pick Reggie Ragland out for the year. It's a shame.

And than Karlos Williams was just released, who ran for 5.6 yards per carry, 500 rushing yards, and 7 rushing touchdowns last season, while we keep aging Reggie Bush. Why Doug Whaley, Why?

We are now later into the Preseason. This is where it gets serious as teams will be cutting players to eventually fill out the rosters and depth charts for the upcoming regular season. Some of the players donning the uniform of your favorite team(s) may not make the main roster. Some players may not make the team but could be on the practice squad, for example. Whatever the case, the dress rehearsal continues. Some even say these 3rd and 4th Preseason games are the real dress rehearsal.

Regardless, keep training as the regular season will come around and all dressed up and ready to go. Good luck to all of your team(s).

Funny how Kaepernick is deciding to 'make a stand' now that his career is pretty much over and he has millions in the bank.

Its a bad look but he might be sincere

The third Preseason game for my Houston Texans was in hosting the Arizona Cardinals. Our defense was stingy. I loved it! Takeaways and turnovers were the Texans' forte today. My favorite play was a pick-six where John Simon tipped the ball, picked it off, and rumbled all the way into the endzone. One man doing all the work and helped his team to a victory. I am really liking the Texans' defense even without J.J. Watt on the field. All I want for the Texans is to be more consistent and productive on offense. The defense will keep Texans in the game, but the offense needs to produce more to help their winning cause.

Elsewhere...

* I am a Texans fan, but I hope Tony Romo gets well soon for the Dallas Cowboys.

* I think it was 23-10 with Minnesota winning their game, but the Vikings' new stadium looks sweet!

Congratulations to the other winners from this week of Preseason action.

[UPDATE] It was 23-10, not 31-10 that Minnesota won by. John Simon, not John Smith. All changes made.

The Bengals already had a decent amount of guys injured before tonight's game. You can add to that Adam "don't call me Pacman" Jones somehow hurting himself in warmups, A.J. Green tweaking a knee, and Cedric Peerman injuring his arm (wouldn't surprise me if it was broken). Preseason sucks.

Well, my Texans will play at the Vikings this regular season, so they'll get to see how the stadium is themselves before having to play the Minnesota Vikings.

Since we have you two here, what is your outlook this season on the Bengals (Dolph Drago) and the Vikings (Northstar)?

I'm slightly worried if the Bengals offense isn't healthy. If Dalton plays like he did last year before his injury, we should still be in good shape. If not...it could be rough. Green is probably going to be okay. Apparently he just tweaked his knee last night and they pulled him to be on the safe side. LaFell, who was supposed to help replace Jones and Sanu, is dealing with a hand issue. He still played last night, which is a good sign. Both Eifert and his backup, Kroft, are both hurt, so tight end is a worry to start the season. And as I expected, Peerman's injury was indeed a broken arm. He's behind Hill and Bernard on the depth chart, but he's important to special teams. Bummer.

The defense is pretty deep. Evidently Pacman's pregame injury was a calf strain. Like Green, he probably could have played, but they sat him anyway. No need to make it worse. That defense has been strong for several years now. Even when players have gone down, others have stepped up.

Suffice it to say, tons of Bengals are banged up. Those above are just a few of that group. I can only hope that a good amount of them are feeling better and ready to go at the start of the season.

So how do I see the season going? It isn't the easiest of schedules, but not horrendous either. Everybody knows (assuming it's still 4 weeks) that Brady will come back from his suspension with a vengeance. His week 5 opponent? Yep, the Bengals. We can go ahead and chalk that one up as a loss. Let's say we go 1-1 against Pittsburgh. I'm thinking 10 wins is a good possibility, 8 or less if injuries mount up. Or a record completely different record. I don't know.

Well my Vikings season went from 100 to 0 in a quick second.. bridgewater knee injury :(

He has been improving so much this year!

They said it was really gruesome injury as well. Zimmer thinks he's done for the year and they're still waiting for the MRI results.

Funny how quickly things change. I surely wish Teddy Bridgewater well in recovering. This is surely tough for the Minnesota Vikings.

Having said all of this, I wish all of your favorite teams well as the final Preseason games are played out.

...except the Patriots, Jets, and Dolphins...

6-10 here we come!!!

:indiff:

Granted Teddy wasn't amazing or anything but he at least took a little focus off AP, now he's back to being the entire offense.
