You know what you did. You know what you said. You were trolling about how one team's star wide receiver can't even catch a cold. You were saying Swiss cheese is better defense than an entire team's defense. Also, you may even praised the kickers to a team, but only because the rest of the team stinks. No matter what you've said, the time for trash talk is over, and the time for action is now. The only game that doesn't matter towards anything from this point on is the Pro Bowl. Everything else between Week 1 to the Super Bowl is all for the hunt for the Lombardi Trophy. The road to Houston begins tonight and this week.
Marquee games this opening week:
* THURSDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Wk. 1: Carolina Panthers at Denver Broncos
* SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Wk. 1: New England Patriots at Arizona Cardinals
* MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL Wk. 1: Pittsburgh Steelers at Washington Redskins, and Los Angeles Rams at San Francisco 49ers
And the other games to kick off the season, all played on September 11th:
* Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
* Minnesota Vikings at Tennessee Titans
* Cleveland Browns at Philadelphia Eagles
* Cincinnati Bengals at New York Jets
* Oakland Raiders at New Orleans Saints
* San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs
* Buffalo Bills at Baltimore Ravens
* Chicago Bears at Houston Texans
* Green Bay Packers at Jacksonville Jaguars
* Miami Dolphins at Seattle Seahawks <<< this HAS to be serious mileage between the two cities!
* New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
* Detroit Lions at Indianapolis Colts
The season is NOT over just because your team loses. Just make sure not to lose with regularity. You don't have to be the 1972 Miami Dolphins for your team to be successful. Then too, you don't want your team to be like the 2008 Detroit Lions. So play as hard as you can every game, all season long. Maybe you'll end up in Houston playing for the championship when all the action is all played out.
Welcome to the new season. Good luck to all of your teams. Stay healthy and play hard all season long.
