They ideally want the schedule to go from after Super Bowl to Labor Day Weekend, which puts it right between the entire NFL schedule, but they still have other things to compete with.

I know that's their plan, the problem with it is that Speedweeks usually starts a couple weeks after the Superbowl. So in order to steal some of NASCAR's thunder (which is a far bigger threat than the NFL), they would either have to start before the Superbowl before NASCAR even rolls into DIS or try getting a marque event to fill the narrow gap. Of course neither of those things are really possible as there aren't many circuits that can do a January race and they don't really have any marque events that can move into an early February slot.

I guess this is where International dates come into play, but even that has quite a few risks as a 3AM start time isn't going to help you earn fans in the U.S.

And I doubt many people interested in a race would be willing to set up for a nighttime event. Then again, if Singapore can do it...

Because it's on a premium channel for most of the season that not everyone gets. If they can't get people to show up to the races, which has been an issue lately, then the revenue from the venues is nearly pointless.

IndyCar has the racecar, the teams, the drivers; the potential to succeed epically...yet it's the teams and management that seem to hold it back at times...:indiff:

It's the management, its been horrific since day 1.

As much as people may think otherwise, Indy just needs a Dictator that knows what their doing.

Right now no one can lead Indy out of it's managerial mess as the board will just undermine anything that works and get the Self agenda based teams to support it.

Live coverage of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg starts at 3:00 PM EDT tomorrow on ABC!

Is there a stream for the race today? My local ABC station and DirecTV are fighting each other and the channel is blocked out for me. :grumpy:

ABC watch live says it's not available in my market, and I'm not going out to buy a set of rabbit ears just to watch one channel. I've seen live streams posted in an IndyCar series thread before, is anyone from overseas that has a stream link?

Does anyone have a link to a live stream for the race today? My local ABC station and DirecTV are in a contract dispute so my channel doesn't come in and I don't want to miss the race today :grumpy:

Genuinely, I google it, usually handy,

Does MRN or Radio Le Mans cover indycar?

Indycar are streaming the warm-up session right now, I'm unsure whether it's geo-blocked or whether they'll stream the actual race, though.

I just checked the comments stream, the Indycar YouTube channel isn't allowed to stream televised sessions. Well, poop. :grumpy:

Good luck to all drivers and teams with this 2015 season of IndyCar Racing. Race hard, be safe, and have fun. Let's kick off this new season proper.

Good day for watching Motorsport. Formula 1. Now Nascar, Indy coming up. And I have a stream for MotoGP. Live on EuroSport. 👍
