In the past I always complained that I can't follow US motorsports from Germany, nowadays it seems to be easier than in the USA itself (except NASCAR). Race is broadcasted here commercial free.

Here too, same for Nascar. 500 laps without interruption.

I wish Indycar under local yellows or virtual safety cars would allow the marshals to run on the track and pick up the debris like in F1.

Is it going to be like this all season with constant yellows for debris from the ridiculous aero kit.

I'm really starting to hate these aerokits. They're ugly, more expensive and cause far more yellows.

Only because the drivers, as usual, still can't grasp special awareness at a street course.

I blame the Honda aerokit.

And these bum *** drivers who think they are in GT cars. SOMEBODY TELL THEM THEY'RE DRIVING F1 CARS!!! :banghead::banghead: They can't get it through their thick skulls that the car is not a weapon.

Bummed for Simona. She needed a good race.

How did Rahal get a penalty for bumping Kimball when Pagenaud is the one who caused all the damage in the 1st place gets to drive on like nothing happened?

I'm trying to get into IndyCar this year. I like Team Penske and Andretti Autosport, mainly Castroneves, Montoya, and Hunter-Reay. Unfortunately the series often runs at the same time as NASCAR.

Same guys who were officiating the F1 race this morning are here for this race. :banghead:

ESPN in the UK just went to a College Basketball game what a joke.

And now it's back to the race

And back to the Basketball

Well, its all Penske now. Team Black Vs Team Red, place your bets.

Why the hell is this not a promotional thing? Verizon should take advantage of this.

Edit: And Will just handed the race to Montoya. Front Wing damaged from Will trying to make a pass on Montoya.

Once again the onboard shows absolutely nothing because of the idiot running the rotating camera, keep it static ffs.

All congratulations to Juan Pablo Montoya. He was the fellow who got me into (then) CART way back in 1999. I've respected him as a racer ever since even in some of his lowest moments and worst seasons. Great to see him pick up a win. Hard to believe he's 39 now!

Of the Chevrolet and Honda aero packages, I stated on Facebook and Twitter that I liked the Honda aero packages more. However, it was ridiculous that the majority of the debris from cars came from the Honda machines. Like every other lap you'd see front winglets from the Honda aero kits on the track. I am actually starting to like how these newer IndyCar machines look as outlandish as they are. I'd sure rather prefer the old and overused Dallara chassis of most of the 2000s or even the Panoz DP01 from the later CART/Champ Car days, but the newer IndyCar chasses are growing on me. During the ESPN on ABC broadcast at one point, a graphic noted that it was 3-0 with Honda aero bits on the track over the Chevrolet aero kit models. I almost wanted to joke that the Honda aero kits look like I could shave my mustache, beard, soul patch, sideburns...

Anyhow, it was a fairly good race for the most part. Up next is the Indy Grand Prix of Louisiana on the weekend of April 12. This will be the first race televised on NBC Sports Network this season. So bring on New Orleans!

It was a great race and it should be a great season...just need Honda to make those bits from something other than paper. Things should be much better on road courses...less carnage. :P
