Sato definitely took a hard hit. Great that both of them walked away.

This pack racing shouldn't be happening. Cindric is right about that.

Then how do they race then? Everyone found the old way safe but boring and they find this dangerous but exciting. Sorry to sound like a sicko but I think in reality, Indycar needs something to draw people back and this kind of racing, as dangerous as it is, could be it.

I disagree about that. This pack racing is what IndyCar needs. We went 130 laps green at the beginning. These guys need to get more accustom to it.
This is the exact thing they said would never happen again after Las Vegas in 2011... and now it's happening...

Things change. The series needs this...oh god Briscoe!

Sad way to end the race. Ryan Briscoe's beautiful black and gold car gets wrecked along with Ryan Hunter-Reay's car. Congratulations to the winner! There are no Green-White-Checker in IndyCar; but if there was a race to see last a little longer, it's this one. What a race!

And that's exactly why pack racing should not happen... Regardless of how safe the cars are.
Most will still say yes.

Even when you know everyone is okay, it makes you feel ill.
Horrifying crash.

What a race though, that will go down in motorsport history.

Rahal is a 🤬. Celebrating like that after such a violent crash is a total dick move.

How? He isn't even aware of how bad it is, only that a crash happened.

How so? They were 3 wide and crashed together there. Without the 3 wide, that wouldn't have happened.
I was talking about the airborne part, yes the crash would not have happened if there was not pack racing.

Too many crashes that made me go:  :scared: : today.

It was a Honda though...so...not a Chevy thing at the least. :odd:

He only went airborne because he was backwards in the grass next to RHR's car so he had no air on his to not go airborne. If they don't make contact on track, they don't spin into the grass and Briscoe doesn't go flipping.

Well, expect a parade next year... But that is better than a huge incident like this.
