Not sure if Carpenter simply didn't know Newgarden was on the outside or the car walked up the track due to loss of front downforce.

Abit of both it seems. Definitely looked like Carpenter just lost the front of the car. You could see (and hear) him trying to save it and unfortunately for him, he didn't realize Newgarden was there.

Fuel hose nozzle stuck on the #15. NOT good...

What was that Fuel man doing? He goes back in just as the service is done and gets the fuel hose stuck in the car the moment Rahal pulls off.

They are pack racing :scared: please let there be no accidents

Never seen so many 4 Wide Salutes in one race. Crazy stuff.

I'm suprised Steve Mattchet hasn't had a heart attack yet, he goes nuts whenever a pass is made in F1.

Sato's fast. I watched him chase down the 4 from way way back. If he gets the lap back now, I wouldn't count him out of the longshot for pushing up the field and fighting for the win.

That 5-wide into turn 1 got everyone on their feet.

Holy crap, best race in years!

He got his lap back on that last caution. Also, I hate that no one's there watching the best Indycar race of the year...

Anyone else's heart pounding?

Right now would be an excellent time to turn on some Nullset.

One word: INSANE.

Don't screw it up Sato.

Takuma Sato and Will Power get owned. Insane.

Damn...

Okay, that had to happen.

Mega racing and absolutely mental, mental.... unbelievable.

I knew that was going to happen. Dammit Sato.

Well, Paul Tracy summed up Will's emotion pretty much.

I thought Power was gonna go and punch him.

Not his fault, he had basically no place to go.
Now that I saw the replay, that's clearly what happened. It was bound to happen though.

Smart move for IndyCar to red flag it.

Just imagine a race where we have Sato, Pastor Maldonado, Ricky Stenhouse, and John Wes Towley on the same track.
Race or demo derby?

It'd be over on lap 1.
