Looked a bad crash for Chilton, car just didn't turn and went straight on, conveniently after his teammate had a bad stop and screwing over 2 Penske cars.

Have parts of the track been re-surfaced? The concrete looks fairly new this year.

Yup, but they resurfaced over the bumps lol. Made things interesting for the sportscars. :O

I just muted the TV. :ouch:

Not sure, they did a lot of work last year but everybody has said it is even bumpier than last year. Scott said the island is sinking so maybe it wont matter for next years Indy 500 post race show.

Too early for rain tires, Simon is screwed.

This is just the Indy 500 Post game.

Cheever, the 500 is over. PLEASE stop mentioning it all the time.
But there's only Detroit #2, St. Pete, and Indy GP left as Practice sessions for the 2017 ABC Indy 500 Season! :sly:

If ABC actually gave a damn about Indycar, they would actually promote the rest of the season, not just the 5 races they cover (hell, they don't even promote those except during a race).

"It's understandably bumpy, it's in the Midwest" -Eddie Cheever

I lived in Wisconsin for 6 years, I could've sworn that most of the Midwest is flat. But hey, I may be wrong.

If they pit under green Power still has a advantage.

nevermind yellow.

Power.

Edit: They seriously went back to green and left Power sitting in his car in the turn 3 runoff? :ouch:

Bourdais and Daly can stay out the longest if the rain holds off for a few more minutes.

Helio is backing the rest of the field trying to save fuel.

Hey, now Dixon actually is going slow.

ABC must have a deal in their contract that only Penske cars can be shown. Daly needs to cover Juan now.

This could be an exciting finish!

More importantly, Power had to sit in the Turn 3 runoff for most of the race.

I saw bits and pieces of the 2nd Half of the race today. Glad my man Juan Pablo Montoya notched 3rd. Good job by Alexander Rossi. Because I'm so used to multiple-time MotoGP World Champion Valentino Rossi, I keep thinking of "The Doctor" when I hear of Alexander Rossi.

By the way... major loss of "Cool Points" (do kids still mention cool points?) for Scott Goodyear to downplay sportscar machines. I love IndyCar and all, but I also love GT/Sportscar/Endurance racing. Don't knock sportscar racing like this. Fail.

Good news for all of you is... this weekend is the ESPN/ABC finale of IndyCar coverage in 2016. Everything else after Detroit is on the NBC networks after tomorrow's coverage.
