Still kinda bummed I couldn't make it this year but I will try my best to enjoy it in the comfort of my home with a nice BBQ and Ginger Ale 👍

Well this pretty such decides that I need to wake up at 5 AM to beat the traffic on Sunday morning.

Honestly with all that will be going on that day, 5:00 might be a bit late.... ;)

I'm gonna try and leave my campground around 4:00 AM I'm thinking. Racer.com says IMS is expecting over 300,000!

I'm in Louisville and it takes 2 hours to get there without traffic, since the race is sold out, what time would you recommend leaving?

If you got a parking pass, the gates open at 6 AM.

Anytime between 2-4 AM might be your window.

I'll need a couple of coffee drinks then .

That is definitely more then a double expresso

On this day in 2003, Gil de Ferran won the Indianapolis 500. Haven't heard that name much. What's Gil up to these days? Oh, and that Racer Magazine article is brilliant. Bring on Indy!

I think a driver a year or two ago picked lactose free milk, and someone else picked either soy milk or some other alternative.

Edit: Oh, I know what I'm thinking of. Fittipaldi, when he won, drank orange juice because he wanted to promote his own orange farms.

Damn, those kids put on a show and this year was no different (though it's hard to top the 4 wide finish).

That was an amazing race! Glad I watched it, and very happy for Stoneman! :D

Well 🤬 I was planning on watching but I didn't because they usually run it on Saturday and I thought this year would be the same, guess not.

So who actually won because it's not exactly clear, inside or outside?

I'm calling BS on that run of Helio's. GM laptop guy plugs in and now the car has no wheel spin and stops on a dime.;)

Outside, Dean Stoneman. :D

Are the weather forecasts worth anything yet?

That four-wide finish RACECAR mentioned (and he's right, by the way)? That's this:

You're welcome, world. That 2016 Freedom 100 finish isn't bad in its own right. Just good ol' racin'. Looking forward to the Indy 500. Let's only hope Mother Nature doesn't screw things up to any severe degree.
