When a race circuit is so bumpy it breaks race cars, it shouldn't be raced on, but then again, it's a parking lot. The race track's surface at it's best should have no effect on the cars.

It looks like he was moving around in the car before the safety crews got there.

I saw a tire fly over the fence though.. hopefully everyone outside of the track is ok as well.

Hard crash for Dario and its unfortunately the kind of crash that we don't want to see. Hope he's ok.

Massive crash, hopefully Dario is okay. Also hope nothing hit anyone in the grandstands. Other than that, it was a pretty good race.

The track is just weird to me as if held in a parking lot more than anything else...I just don't know. I love the scenic view but the actual tarmac is just horrid looking.

And straight from Chip's mouth, Dario is Ok everyone. Soar in his legs and back, but he is ok 👍

Did Dario go up over the back of Sato?

Yeah, he did. Sato got loose and Dario's car just climbed over the back of the car and went into the fence.

15 fans were checked by medical personnel. Nothing serious reported.

They got very lucky with how nasty that crash looked. I know it's not what everyone would want to see happen, but the new Indycar chassis is damn strong.

Glad he was alright (relatively speaking) as well as all the people in the stands.. That was scary. I hate seeing ambulances..

That was big. Like an oval crash on a street course... Good to hear he got off relatively lightly as these crashes go. I'm still a little sensitive to the big ones since Le Mans... :(

On a positive note, I'm glad to see Power win and Hinch on the podium.

No, it's not right, but considering the people involved with setting up the course this weekend were way off schedule which caused many sessions to be canceled; I'm not surprised.

This isn't some weekend car club driving event, this was top-scale motorsports and it was shoddy course work.

Yet another reason why street courses should be a thing of the past. When cars have to swerve down the front straight to avoid a huge bump, that's about as atrocious as railroad tracks at Baltimore

So because of yet another poorly organized street course (especially one they should not have brought back), all of them should be gone?

If it's "yet another poorly organized street course that should not have been brought back" then why bother with them in the first place? Belle isle has been ridiculous both years with the track coming apart last season and this season in the announcers own words "NASCAR style". Baltimore is self explanatory.

My point is just because this, Baltimore and Belle Isle have been rediculous doesn't mean all of them are bad.

They should at least get rid of the crappy ones that do nothing but hurt the image of the series even more (granted it's more than just the terrible street courses doing that).

On a related note, Brazil may be cut.
