I just had horrible thoughts of Las Vegas 2011 after seeing the helicopter spooling up. Hopefully that is not the case here with Justin Wilson.

Pretty sure the spring was much more massive, the carbon fiber bends, breaks and is lighter in itself.
Still, he got knocked out for sure and let's hope it's just a minor concussion.

I would say stopping the race until further news comes out would be appropriate. If it comes back positive, go green. And if the opposite is given, end the race.

Looks to be an Impact hit, so chances of survival are significantly higher.

It looked like Wilson might have been applying the brakes after the nosecone hit him and before the car hit the wall. Seeing the small amount of smoke around Wilson's car before the wall impact. Hoping for a good outcome.

Helicopter means nothing right now. Like mentioned, the track sits in the middle of nowhere and it seems more like a typical move. Helicopter is still on the track by the way, doesn't seem like there's much of a hurry.

And Guys, look at the bright side. When ever there has been a truly horrific crash, Senna, Wheldon, Etc. The race has been halted and called. I'm trying to think that they Air Care is a precaution for him, and he simply got knocked out. Try to think positive guys

Edit: And as GT Ace said, Pocono is in the middle of no where. The closest hospital is Lehigh Valley Health, which is almost an hour a way.
