I'm not saying that it is simple. Just throwing out some ideas.

And I understand that, I'm just saying your idea of moving the cockpit back as far as possible is a case of possibly compromising other areas (In this case, the layout of the engine bay and possibly undesirable results that would come afterwards).

No it wouldn't, it would ruin the racing though.

They did something Similar in Cart and all it did was spread the field out and make it tedious to watch, it was changed back instantly.

I doubt it. Pocono had a good turnout for it being IndyCar. The Wilson accident is a case of wrong place wrong time and if that influences the decision then Mark Miles needs common sense drilled through his ears.

Unless the cockpit is changed in a way that legs can't take a beating, then nothing is going to work. Only way to avoid foot injuries is to remove the foot pedals and have the legs snugly secured in the cockpit.

Look the foot injury is just the nature of the sport we love...the legs are stretched out forward and pressing down on pedals, it isn't exactly a protective position. Besides feet are weak.

I just read on another forum that Dallara added almost 12kg of lead ballast to the cars nose cones to cure balance issues when they first tested them in 2011. Not something which is good to be flying through the air.

The only way you'll ever solve the problem of leadership with the Indycar series is by getting rid of the people at IMS. Otherwise, that's a wall you aren't gonna move anytime soon.

The Cone Slips over the Nose in Indycars, if it was actually 12kg he would of died on the spot.

The only way you'll ever solve the problem of leadership with the Indycar series is by getting rid of the people at IMS. Otherwise, that's a wall you aren't gonna move anytime soon.

And IMS owns IndyCar. You'd have to find someone with common sense, a passion for IndyCar Racing and pockets lined with gold for IndyCar to make any significant gains.

In a perfect world this would be the FIA Indycar Championship, and the IMS only owned themselves.

I wouldn't exactly think it would automatically make it better (As people who watched F1 in 2007-2008 will tell you)

Also, this this seems to be your general reaction to any series that doesn something you don't like (TUSSC being the main one)
