But since they aren't fully breaking things, a few extra inches of cushion would help? Or is my physics broken? That would just be a longer nose.

I'm not saying that it is simple. Just throwing out some ideas.
Guys, I don't feel like now's the time for this arguement.
Nothing. Cockpit size is the same width, which is what is beating around the legs.Yes, but it seems like it's avoidable.
What would happen if they extended the nose cone a few inches?
Because No.
Besides it looks as though Indy will be the only Big Oval next year anyway.
The covkpit is about the same as an F1 car isn't it?Nothing. Covkpit size is the same.
No it wouldn't, it would ruin the racing though.I know. It would lessen the amount of crashes like this though.
I know foot injuries are always a possibility.
Yes. Slightly wider actually. The covkpit is about the same as an F1 car isn't it?
If this is true, can we start a petition to get rid of the president of INDY?Because No.

I doubt it. Pocono had a good turnout for it being IndyCar. The Wilson accident is a case of wrong place wrong time and if that influences the decision then Mark Miles needs common sense drilled through his ears.Say it ain't so.![]()
Unless the cockpit is changed in a way that legs can't take a beating, then nothing is going to work. Only way to avoid foot injuries is to remove the foot pedals and have the legs snugly secured in the cockpit. But since they aren't fully breaking things, a few extra inches of cushion would help? Or is my physics broken?
There's like 9 already. Petitions don't work.If this is true, can we start a petition to get rid of the president of INDY?
Only someone with money will remove the issue, IMS only hires idiots and when they somehow get someone like Randy he gets fired for not being one.If this is true, can we start a petition to get rid of the president of INDY?
How old is he? Please let him be 60 something and close to retirementThere's like 9 already. Petitions don't work.
Yeah that doesn't work Bernie is 200 years old and still in charge of F1.How old is he? Please let him be 60 something and close to retirement
He's in his 50s, I believe. How old is he? Please let him be 60 something and close to retirement
We're ****ed...He's in his 50s, I believe.
Look the foot injury is just the nature of the sport we love...the legs are stretched out forward and pressing down on pedals, it isn't exactly a protective position.
If this is true, can we start a petition to get rid of the president of INDY?

And IMS owns IndyCar. You'd have to find someone with common sense, a passion for IndyCar Racing and pockets lined with gold for IndyCar to make any significant gains. Not only that, but the driver sits in an almost laying down position that basically forces them to stretch their legs in such a way.
The only way you'll ever solve the problem of leadership with the Indycar series is by getting rid of the people at IMS. Otherwise, that's a wall you aren't gonna move anytime soon.
It is FIA sanctioned.I wish this series was run by the FIA...
In a perfect world this would be the FIA Indycar Championship, and the IMS only owned themselves. It is FIA sanctioned.
