Bathurst usually clashes with the Japanese Grand Prix, which is one of Button's favourites.
It won't clash for him next year. :p

Campbell just took the lead in Careers Cup. Man, do you go for a Porsche drive and a potential Porsche LMP drive in the future or sign up for a VASC drive?

I doubt he'd want to miss it. Besides, he's an ambassador for the team, and Suzuka is their second home race on account of the relationship between McLaren and Honda.

I doubt he'd race. Though, I think Bourdais and Salo were pretty much the only "recent" F1 drivers to race a Supercar. Would be a win for the sport if Button did answer the call.

Said Van Gisbergen all week and sticking by my tip.
Would LOVE to see a smaller team jag a win so will be kicking on Scotty Mac and the sladedawg

Not sure of forum rules regarding asking for a........." YOU KNOW "........for a mate who lives in New Zealand..........

What time does the race start as it's on BT Sport 1 in the UK?

Salo only drove a V8Supercar at the GC600 when they were doing the international co-driver thing. A couple of other F1 Drivers raced during those years, Luizzi, Franck Montagny are a couple. Christian Klein raced an Enduro Cup with Ingall at Walkinshaw a couple of years ago too, 2013 I think.

Right Luizzi flipped and Klein. 👍

If he does really well at a Porsche Junior test coming up, he could snag a drive in the Supercup and be on the way to a career in Europe.
That's gotta be better than taking your chances here, relying on sponsorship for a drive and possibly having it bought out from under you regardless of how good your results are.

 did Whincup run out of fuel?
I wouldn't know. Ch.10 are too interested in filling the screen with talking heads

I keep flicking between 10 and Fox because I don't have the hd Fox subscription but 10's coverage is nowhere near as good.

So my picks are Lowndes, Courtney or McLaughlin for the win, with my dark horse being Caruso. I just have a feeling that the winner is going to be unexpected and an underdog.

As always, I want to see a DJR Team Penske car on the top step. I've been a fan of #17 for as long as I can remember.

My pick is a DJRTP or a Ford. Solely for the sendoff. Other than that, the 23 or 7.

I'd be cool with that. Nice considering Roger Penske is here, and Dick's history at this circuit.

I'd still be supporting #17 even if it was driven by van Gisbergen and Lewis Hamilton. I've been a fan for so long that it pre-dates my earliest memories.

Lowndes needs to pass Davison now in case there's a SC.
If he has to stack in pit lane....:banghead:

Can Whincup just slow down a little so we can pretend there's still a chance?

The 17 is still in good position. The more laps Dalberto can do, the better when driver change comes.

Umm, why does R.Kelly have to redress? It was a lockup. Clearly he passed Pither. Jeez.

Damn, Caruso's car looks good. That's how you do a retro livery.

As always I'm cheering for Mclaughlin and DJR. If a 888 car has to win it really hope it's Lowndes

Baring a huge mistake, I'm betting that car will pass the finish line first. Calling it now.

Should have left Dalberto in. Gracie is still in the seat.

Lowndes :(

Holdens are dropping like blow flies.
Edit: The #8 is back out.
