It's been a bit of a stale opening session really. A few decent battles but nothing overly exciting. A safety car would be handy. Anything to take this out of the red bulls hands.

Not to be silly, but before the race, I had a thought I can here Greg Rust say at the finish, "This will be the first time in history without a Safety Car."

It wouldn't surprise me if we only get two at max. They have been playing it safe throughout the whole season just about. And definitely here so far (though that's understandable).

Fire for 14.
The pad fell out of the caliper and caught fire.

So many roos, lets hope none go on track like last time.

But then again it seems so australian having a roo come on the track during the race.

Chaz Mostert had no brakes for 1/2 the lap.

Crazy.

At this rate, the #88 will lap the field.
Edit: *rubs hands* Safety Car. Let's go. It's dangerous to leave that piece on that stretch of road.

Something needs to happen cause this is getting boring to be honest.

That was a pretty good sacrifice though, could have been like Bernard around 2009-2010 where he just hit the wall and had that massive fire

So debris scattered across the track on entry to The Chase. Surprised it hasn't triggered a safety car yet.

That must have been a bit scary for the marshall picking up the debris on the fastest straight in Australia

Doubt it, just go when it is clear and no one is coming down.

I'd say bad move by GRM to recruit Wall. He lost touch with PD at the start and just fell back. As Scottie said, they didn't tune it for Wall, but could have cost him a chance to win.

I know, I know, 90laps to go.

I reckon it's part of the contract obligations with the Wilson sponsorship. Not sure if Wall has any stake in the company or anything but everywhere he goes he has Wilson sponsorship.

I feel bad for Rick Kelly. Nothing is going his way.

We need a safety car or rain or something. This is getting pretty dull.

No crashes. No tyre failures. No one has gotten stuck in the sand. No spins. Just radio and pit dramas.

Can something interesting please occur already? This has been kinda of a snoozefest so far.

Yeah. Watching Formula Drift too and my favorite just crashed, so blah...

Yeah this has been pretty disappointing so far. Might switch over to F1 if it continues to bore.

Every competitive team is having issues of some sort while T8 are just walking away with it problem free. The throttle position sensor issue for #55 is very unfortunate.

Edit: here comes a safety car. Jones in the wall.

#17 if they pit again, it will get one out of the way.
