There wasn't much choice.
She goes and buys the readymade #47 & #18 but, won't know how to develop them.

The COTF that the Russell brothers raced at Bathurst. Was that a loaner GRM Commodore or BJR chassis?

She doesn't need to. She can run them for a year, then reassess when Gen2 comes into force

I wouldn't be surprised if Holden pull their factory backing from HRT, give it to Triple Eight and relegate the team to Walkinshaw Performance. There's a reason why the likes of Tekno and Dumbrell are buying Triple Eight chassis - they're superior to everything Walkinshaw is producing. We've been competing with Car of the Future for a while now and they can't seem to cure the sheer undrivability of the car. It will occasionally produce a fast lap, but nothing consistent. I seem to recall reading somewhere that they're still building the cars the way they did the pre-COTF regulations, and it just hasn't worked.

The only possible problem is that the acronym for "Triple Eight Holden Racing Team" is "TEHRT", which sounds like something that you would use to describe Whincup, as in "Whincup's being a complete TEHRT again".
I agree with the Holden money swapping hands. Although it would be weird to see a bull and a lion on the same car.

As for the Walkinshaw cars, I think they have the opposite problem. Whilst they are consistent and seemingly good in a longer distance race, they seem to lack outright pace with JC occasionally managing to pull a lap together.

Erebus either had to go with their Mercs or the cheaper Walkinshaw cars. Should improve a bit over last year, but won't be winning races. More top 10's for Reynolds basically.

On the Motorsport.com TC driver rankings, I don't see what so surprising about Whincup being on top. It's either him or Lopez really...

I'm surprised that looks set to continue. Given that Courtney is a factory Holden driver and Monster is now sponsoring a factory Ford entry.
Ford doesn't fund PRA anymore.

Who would you have as the best?

If DTM is counted then Wehrlein.

As it stands right now both are Funded the same money from Holden per season, im not sure if this Came from HRTs monopolised funding originally and maybe that's why they are less competitive or Holden stepped up Funding.

The Craig Lowndes car might look better/different in person if this is anything to go by;

I wish that V8SC would live stream the test day next week. If not, hopefully Speed Cafe has their usual "sights and sounds" videos.

Watching this video, I'm going to miss the Falcodores. Though, it will be interesting to see the ext generation of race cars.

Yeah definitely does have a HSV dealer team vibe to it. Love it, looks great.

And hey, look at that Monster sponsorship. So much for the hype that they were leaving HRT.

Nice. Mean looking. Like an SS-V on its way through Mt Druitt, headed to Eastern Creek.;)

JK. I like it for real.

Number on the door and the window is too much.

I don't know the number is cool, especially with the green outline that seems to work well against the rest of the scheme, and the drive initials in the number is a nice touch. It's a really cool livery and better than what we've seen in recent from them.

Didn't realise SP Tools were leaving as main sponsor. Looks good though

I love it. Best looking livery so far. The black and orange really work well, and the number on the door is a nice touch too.

I'm just saying it's a bit repetitive having it in both places.

It looks nice. I'm going to against the grain, but I don't like the number on the door. Whether it's the angle/size of it, the way it's squeezed into the design or the fact it's green, I think it looks average.

Oh look, it's @prisonermonkeys favourite livery of red and white, only it looks orange like the old Toll HSV Dealer Team cars :sly:
I wouldn't know. I'm red/green colour-blind, remember? My eyes interpret it as a murky mess, a delightful shade of baby poop brown.

According to Speed Cafe, HRT are testing with Nissan today (Dale Wood in Rick Kelly's car) so maybe expect a livery unveiling from Nissan shortly?

The HRT livery is very nice. Taking inspiration from the ANZAC livery was a good idea as that was a great livery. However, the numbers on the side just don't do it for me. I think they should have left the green outline off it and had plain black numbers. Would have tied in with the rest of the car. In saying that, everyone loves numbers on the door and they are a more than welcome addition

The number on the window IS too big. Other than that, I like the colors and design of the livery. I'm not too fickle about numbers.
