And Winterbottom fastest in practice 2.

Crazy how close all the times have been between the first 10-15 drivers in both sessions today.
I can remember the whole field being covered by 0.7 secs after qualifying here some years ago & that's what makes this track great. If your engineer came over the radio and said your 0.1 secs of pole & P5, that'd have to play with your head. You've just done one of the laps of your life & are now wondering where you find that single tenth that's mired you in P5. Such a simple track layout but that's what makes finding an edge the hardest.

Watching the replays of Practice 1&2. I dig this track even more because of the coverage. Constant action. No time to sleep around there. The cars are so fast and I can't wait to race 1.

Aaren Russell has a new(ish) livery too;

So this weekend, rather then seeing 4 HRT cars at first glance, you see 3 LDM cars :P

But seriously, I like it! Could use a little more black up the front...maybe. The bit that annoys me is the 'Plus' not quite fitting on the door. Seems a little unnecessary.

Yeah, might as well put big numbers where the circle is and moved the circle to the rear doors.

I didn't see any of the footage from yesterday's practice sessions but I did see someone mention online that those three cars are a little bit hard to tell apart, when they're together. Still I like the slight changes with Russell's livery, looks great.

I'm think qualifying will see the top 22 within .5.

That track walk set up looks awesome.

Edit: Just noticed the HAAS stickers on Coulthard's b-pillars. Getting ready in case F1 doesn't work out?

Haas have supplied DJR for a while now. Even before Penske, they had some pretty prominent branding.

So I've just realized my favourite team by default is GRM. They have the Volvo, awesome car, Scott Mclaughlin, really cool dude, and James Moffat who is the son of Canadian, Allan Moffat who previously drove in earlier iterations of the series.

Go GRM boys!

Last 5 minutes. So close.
Interesting... interesting.

Meanwhile, the teenagers with racing licences have proven why teenagers should not have racing licences

Great session. I could never get over seeing the cars coming around the final corner, they're right on the edge of tyre grip.

Some deserve to have licenses, but I agree, some of these drivers are a bit.... ambitious.

Ambitious? More like delusional.
I will attest to McGregor being quite talented having raced him multiple times in karting, but he is seemingly floundering in F4 so far, but he does look like he is improving.

I'm actually quite nervous about this race. It feels like the last race to decide the Championship. I keep thinking about Lowndes and Reynolds last year. Frosty is in a Bottle-O but, Lowndes is in a "Vortex" car. :D

Bad news for The Future. The car has "butterflies". :P

Hopefully they get these superview issues fixed before race start.

And just as usual, Superview crashes right before the race starts. Pathetic.

The tyre guys need to watch F1. So slow(no matter how heavy the tyre is).

Edit: Well, that one is on Frosty.

Yet and still, so slow when they put those tyres on.

Bear in mind that Formula One has three guys per tyre - one to work the airgun, one to take the old tyre off and one to put the new tyre on.

Indeed. See my edit. ;)

Rick is hanging in there. If the front three trip, he'll be right there.

So long as there is a need to pit fuel in the cars, pit stops will always be slow. Opening up the stops to make them faster will only encourage mad spending. The articulated wheel jacks that Formula One teams use are estimated to cost €200,000 each, so all you would do is create a spending war.

Geez, the Fords are fighting out there. Coulthard in trouble. Losing spots like crazy. Davison making some moves now.

Good stuff. Rick Kelly with a great run. Rest of the Nissans out on vacation.

Great move by Rick, really impressed by him today. His teamates are going to have a hard time explaining why they placed so poorly.

Some of those passes were just magical to watch.
