Falcons look strong. Might be able to catch the leaders.

Aw, that was a shame for Percat.

Just saw James Phelps tweet about that.

Without any sponsorship behind him. Wonder what effect this will have on Aaron Russell for the rest of the season?
This could be a very awkward situation as I understand the Russells own that car & pay Erebus to 'service' it.

Too bad Tander can't get in top of his qualifying performance, because he's absolutely killing it out there.

Frosty checked out. Don't know if Mostert will catch the top 3.

They've been doing the same on Channel 10, Larkham and White non stop.
Honestly, I'm surprised that Rust hasn't mistaken Whincup or van Gisbergen for Mark Webber. I remember one year when he and Cameron McConville tried to call a Grand Prix and every time a Red Bull or Toro Rosso was on-screen, he'd call it as Webber. The man clearly loves his motorsport, but he's utterly clueless.

Yeah exactly. Got to wonder without the sponsorship dollars behind them, whether they'll have the funds to continue paying Erebus.

This is a bit awkward. Noticed the Plus Fitness stickers on Percats car earlier while they where in pitlane...
It's a smart move, if true. It's a shame Dumbrell can't keep a sponsor, though.

It's a very unusual arrangement to have in the first place. I'm sure they'll figure something out - maybe they could convince Penrite to back Russell's car.

Well...

Edit: wait. Dig VanGiz engineer just say , " Watch out for the censoredBOX?"? Meaning one of the LDM cars.

Edit 2: Good racing!

Edit 3: Frosty is not playing!

Mark Skaife needs to pop a Valium or two. His definition of sideways requires no opposite lock at all.

You're probably right, but I get a huge kick out of him yelling "BANG" during an incident. So obnoxious.

I knew when Whincup put that thing on pole he was going to walk away with this race. Hopefully tomorrow is different.

Good run for Caruso, Rick screwed himself with that dive bomb. Looks like Todd just missed a top 10.

I've seen him in action holding court with a bunch of blokes & he clearly needs to be the centre of attention. Ego anyone?

Well this will make the last few laps, interesting.

Safety car but hopefully it's not too late for SVG. There will only be 1-2 laps of running, surely.

The sceptic in me says VASC just sent LDM a message saying you get a nice donation if one of your blokes parks somewhere that requires a Safety Car :odd:

Well, it's one way of spicing up a race that needs it ;)

Lights off. Green again.

Guess it's a good time to pay attention now.

Ugh. But lapped cars still spread the field out so not much chance for some good racing.

The worse finish. Just anti-climatic.
Rule #4081: If you are a lapped car and not going to win, MOVE OVER!

They need a rule that any restarts with 5 or less laps to go, lapped cars go to the back. You can't rush to get it back to green and just let them hang out at the front. This race would have finished differently I bet if they were not there.

Blanchard and Pither should pit.

Whincup just said he thought the cars behind him would have pitted.
