I'm trying to pick up some merchandise but not sure if it can be done cheaper than just getting it directly from Nissan Motorsport's website. Don't want to pay $45 to ship a $15 hat if I can avoid it.
Hats are $20. Shirts from $20-$90.

The price of the items isn't really what worries me, it's the shipping. The website was going to charge me $45 to ship a hat, but the question is, can you ship it cheaper? ;)

That's up to Aust Post. I see what you did there.

Edit: the setup outside NISMO pits

Winterbottom understands the fans better than Simon McNamara and the rest of the Holden motorsport higher ups do. They seem to think that long term HRT fans will mindlessly follow the HRT name regardless of what team is running it.

Frosty: Walkinshaw Racing can survive.
Walkinshaw Racing – or whatever it will become – will be the same. Not every Holden supporter goes for Triple Eight – people love or hate them – so they won’t take all the fan-base across with the HRT name.

Great article.

This is why Holden needs to retire the HRT name just as they did HDT when that had its implosion.

V8s need some factory teams that are keen to commit long term, I don't see Nissan staying around much longer if results don't pick up apparently they are making a decision in October.

If they go there is only 1 factory brand left in Holden. The series is still hugely popular though so I don't understand what the issue is here.

It was supposed to be made in June. They keep pushing it back, and I bet they are watching things very closely. In the end, I don't expect them to stay.

Could not agree more. 👍 And that's what the issue is for a lot of fans. Not so much that Holden are pulling their funding from Walkinshaw, as disappointing as it is, it was inevitable. But the fact that they're just passing the HRT name along to another team and expecting everyone to go with it, is a real kick in the guts to long term HRT/WR fans.

Bringing back HSV for Walkinshaw might work?

I'd be happy to see Walkinshaw bring back the HSVDT name. If only to see a return of that sweet orange/black livery they used to run. :O

The longer they stay silent, the less likely it is they'll hang around. I've been expecting the inevitable since hey postponed the June announcement.

I wonder, with the benefit of hindsight, if Ryan Walkinshaw had his time again, would he have cut his losses and ordered proven 888 parts for his cars? They may not have worked with the way his cars were built but then he'd have to decide wether to keep building his own or order the full car.
It's so radically different the way the blue side of the fence has sort of 'buddied up' and are all working together whereas on the red side it's been the civil war with the north winning again.

Bringing back HSV for Walkinshaw might work?
If he can't find a corporate sponsor(s) to fill the gap left by the Holden money, he won't have a choice.
Considering he's having more success selling HSVs than winning races, it probably makes sense.

Stuck throttle for R.Kelly. in the wall.
:D

I think the orange in that livery was more to do with Toll as the sponsor than anything to do with HSV.
Although I didn't mind the look of the car throughout 2006, once Rick Kelly punted Lowndes at Phillip Island to 'win' his trophy, I can't look at it without starting to twitch uncontrollably.

If Kelly Racing do go back to Holden, they won't be happy. All that work to get where they are now.

Probably by 2018, all Holden teams will be on an even plane. Like in 2013. Sad thing is, the series can't go backwards to its roots. It almost did just when the V8SC came back after the Super Tourers. I liked the diversity of the ATCC. It seems like the series will be like that but, there would be only Holden taking part.

Tonight, I just don't see any other marque coming in. Any manufacturer wanting in, has to start developing right now. Can't see it happening.

If he knew that'd he lose the HRT name and Holden funding, I assume he would.

He'd be pretty crazy not to, honestly.

You're probably right but the orange/black scheme, I think is what most people associate with the HSVDT name.

I don't think Nissan would pull a Volvo, so they could probably continue with the equipment they have now.

I'm not figuring that. More like factory support. As a side, I think don't Nissan are supporting the team that just bought the PWC GT-Rs. So, if they did leave, I would wonder if Kelly Racing would want to go it alone.

Edit: I did notice, lots of GT-R badges on their gear. Promoting that car heavily.

Nice to see Pye qualify inside the top five.
Carrera Cup Asia going bonkers.

The combined Australian & Asia Carrera cup races tomorrow could be, interesting.

Hmm, Courtney possibly to Nissan? BJR?

Haven't heard the BJR thing but I know there's been some talk of JC moving to Nissan.

Who makes way for him at Nissan though?

Speaking of Dale Wood, any bets on how many laps it'll take for him to take someone out today?

I have said it before, and no doubt I will say it again: they should get rid of Wood, Kelly and Kelly, and replace them with Courtney, Percat and Pye.
And I've said before that this is the Kelly's operation, they won't be going anywhere unless Nissan drops them and goes elsewhere. Really the only seat that's available is Wood's.

Nick really does deserve a better drive somewhere. He's being wasted at LDM.
Speaking of Dale Wood, any bets on how many laps it'll take for him to take someone out today?

They should have got Dale a guest drive in the Asia Carrera Cup this weekend. He wouldn't have looked out of place at all.

Just hope Chaz closes the door for the first 3 turns.

I say Dale takes out Fabian. I want DJR to turn things around but, it'll be just their luck.

Edit: DANGIT!

More fool Nissan, then. If they want results, they need the best four men for the job.
