As much as having Mazda in the series would be a good general reflection on the market (Mazda's are quite popular), Mazda has already said they don't want in after V8SC shopped the idea to them. But, their opinion could have changed from then...
Two things: the Mazda 6 is a slippery shape & would probably make a very good looking Supercar but, doesn't Ford own a majority or controlling interest in Mazda?

Not since 2008. They now have less than a 3% stake in the company.

I hope in that order.

Why Wall? :indiff: I just don't care that he has steered the car last year. I'd snatch up any other DVS driver or Carrera Cup or NZ V8 Tourer or Greg Murphy. Anyone else.

Wall will be in the 33 Golding the 34 that's my prediction anyway. On another note I can't see DJRTP dropping Pye unless he performs really badly for the rest of the year, Scotty Mac should still be at GRM next year I think and hope.

If today is anything to go by, then that will be the case (Wall/Golding seats).

I'll be hoping there is more good racing this weekend. Especially for the #15 or any Nissan.

Rogers was saying he won't set driver pairings until Wednesday before Bathurst practice.

This weekend's SuperView schedule for those in the USA:
  • Q10 - 8:15pm PDT Fri / 11:15pm EDT Fri
  • R10 - 10:37pm PDT Fri / 1:37am EDT Sat
  • Q11 - 6:30pm PDT Sat / 9:30pm EDT Sat
  • R11 - 8:22pm PDT Sat / 11:22pm EDT Sat

First race weekend with Fox, was pretty happy to wake up to practice replay from yesterday. There is definitely still some work to be done on setups throughout the field, should make for an interesting day.

Edit; and now Touring Car Masters is on. It's going to make it reeeeeeal hard to finish off the moving stuff. I'm meant to be doing today. Might just mount the tv on the wall and be done with it.

So if I try to go to v8supercars.com.au, Google thinks the site is unsafe and doesn't recommend I go there. But if I go to the new url supercars.com.au, it loads fine.

This is awesome stuff. Great interview with Steve Johnson there during the race. Loved him having a bit of fun, then predicting the crash ahead of him, and Chad Neylon playing Spotter there for him. Great stuff. Great to see Stevie J and Glen Seton with a massive smile on their face whilst racing these things. What an endorsement for the series. :)👍

I can not call this qualifying. Its going to be so close.

Whoooaaaaa. Not what I expected at all. Going to be about strategy today.

Love the dig at Phelps. Good stuff.
