Mazda #70 went to P1 in only 5 laps then pitted with it's brakes on fire.:banghead:

People are claiming that 2.1mm of restrictor is costing Cadillac 70-75 hp. :odd:

Is there a live stream of all the practice sessions today? Normally the IMSA site/app has it but they're just showing the two races later today

Are the Gibson's still being held back or have they been given the ok to run at full power?

Was anyone else aware of the LMP3 cars joining PC? I saw an article a little while back and was happy to see variety in the class if they're gonna do anything with it.

Good question. They are still running w/o a restrictor but I have seen nothing about the rev limiter.

PC whatever it is called is about to start. http://multimedia.netstorage.imsa.com/MULTIMEDIA1/index800.html

Prototype Challenge Series (Or PCS since we're in the business of abbreviations).

Last I remembered, IMSA was looking at potentially replacing the Oreca with the LMP3 cars, but the PC owners were abit whiny about it.

Edit
: Just watched the race (or at least what little of it I could), winner is already a way better driver then most of the entire IMSA PC field from the last five years and this was only his first race.

I'm just glad I finally switched my ethernet cable from the PS3 to PS4. No more buffering and stuttering. Takes a minute to load up but when it does it's full HD and no stutters at all. Like watching a TV channel. I had it on the PS3 for a series that I race in regularly but I'm not doing so as much as I used to and it's not the easiest place to look behind to get the cable in. I put up with it this once and I'm gonna leave it there.

So innocent LMP3 cars getting taken out by the PC tornadoes spinning around all over the place?

(I hope that it makes the racing better though...)

Yeah, what happened there with the ESM 2 car in final practice...9mph through the traps quicker than anyone.

Is it possible that Pipo Derani is what happened? :P

5 would have had pole but ran out of fuel on back straight, Jani and Rebellion on pole instead. Pipo had a 47 going but had to pit with a engine issue.

GOOOOO 912 AND 911!

Predictions for class winners?

P: 5
PC: Don't care
GTLM: 912
GTD: 33
Cars finishing: 32

Also, who's going to Sebring?

P: #2 Nissan because Pipo, if not, #31 AXR
PC: we should get a GTP PC team and have some fun :D
GTLM: #4 will retain its title
GTD: #93 NSX had pretty good mileage at Daytona, if all goes well, could be up there

Heck, we get everyone to chip in a few bucks, we find the guys that have been really good with the GT Academy or Seasonals to drive the car, and I think we could win a few races in the class, let alone the title!

I hear the #4 Corvette is starting in the rear due to an inspection issue or something. The nightmare continues... :(

What turn number?

Also for the tiebreaker... How many cars finish the race?
Sorry been glued to college basketball all day and have the tourney on my mind, not the int. horseshoe that's Daytona. I sit after turn 17 near corvette corral bleachers and at the straight before finish line in the Porsche corral bleachers , then go between turn 6 big bend and 7 hairpin.
