It looks like a dark nimbus grey which is a lovely colour...but doesn't work AT ALL in that terrible piss poor livery (hope that's not the real one). Wow...way to disappoint HAAS.
 
Little things I notice:

-There is a slit in the front wing attachment pieces like McLaren but only one long one.
-Turning vanes right behind the Richard Mille decal and on the middle like Ferrari but not as radical.
-An opening on the top of the side pod like Ferrari
-T Wing before real wing (that black line across maybe?)
 
Well its not exactly pretty (front nose is bleh and the livery is slightly terrible), but my God they were busy! :eek: Excited to see how it performs, definitely looks like a high grade F1 car.
 
Interesting choice of grey (green?), I had hopes for a more colorful car though. I guess I'm supposed to be happy about there being a touch of red at least...
 
Grey though.

Car looks cool - livery sucks. As do the liveries on the Force India, Ferrari and McLaren.

In my opinion of course! :P
 
The Haas seems to have a really sophisticated design, moreso than the Renault and Sauber. I don't know what to think of the grey, I need to see it from more than just leaks first. It's unique at least.
 
I love HAAS already. I really hope they can pick up where they left 2016 and move upwards. It was fantastic to see the team score points in the opening round. A shame they couldn't keep up the momentum.

Still, HAAS is a good example of a new team that was actually prepared for their first season.

They used some extra paint the department of defense supplied them, cause they're going to bring the war to the rest of the grid...Or the back half

Reminds me more of the DPi Cadillac and their fins and their livery design for those.

I'll have to take your word for it - we don't get coverage of Daytona.

In the defence of Haas, my eyes might be the problem. The base livery colour and the red Haas logo mess with my colour-blindness.

It is more even, due to being a corporate design, the Haas seems to be a middle ground between the two. Now that I see all three schemes on the same page. The Nissan blends and doesn't have solid horizontal rectangles, like the cadillac, but the Haas isn't as uniform as the Cadillac.
 
I think I'd prefer it if the fin design extended to the airbox. But I was just wondering the other day as to what Caruso's design would look like on a Formula One car.

Also, is there a dark chrome colour on the nose of the Haas?
 
Haas seems to follow the same path of the Ferrari in having what looks to be small sidepods. The 2017 Ferrari engine may not need as much air cooling as the old unit. Guess we will know by the time testing starts.

They all have small side pods if you look at comparison photos on various websites. Even mercedes and mclaren have much smaller openings than last year.
 
I'm guessing the high sidepods are there to accomodate the new bargeboards. If the teams don't have to worry about airflow into the sidepods, they get more flexibility in developing the bargeboards.

@prisonermonkeys : sure looks to be a reflection of the boards on the nose.

Maybe a smaller opening in the pods creates a fast air flow at that point (venturi), resulting in more efficient cooling.
 
So, two (and a half - Haas doesn't really count) launches to go. Do we know when Red Bull and Toro Rosso will unveil the cars?

Also, Sky posted rumours (whether reporting them or starting them is unclear) that Manor may be saved after all.
