A good forum lives and dies by its threads, and we're looking for the discussion that's had you most enthralled this year (thread must have been started after 31/12/2016).

Please vote above for which you think should be the GTPlanet Award winner for Thread of the Year 2017. Nominees are:

Honestly I really want to vote for the I LOVE THIS GAME thread. It was such a long time coming that I almost gave out a maniacal laugh on the level of Tom Hanks seeing a ship off the shore of his secluded island after being there all that time.

However, I think it's more appropriate to get @FoolKiller's thread to win, because although I missed the era of Steve by many years, and I hardly even knew him, it's a great way we as a community can pay tribute to his legacy here. It was hard for a lot of us to loose such a beloved member of the forum, so let's remember Steve by getting his nominations to number one on every pole.

How is the white privilege thread nominated? It's not even that long or epic...

As much as a lurker I am nowadays, I really wanted to go between 1986 and the 15 year threads...

With that said, it is impossible to vote for anything else. Mortality has hit me hard over the past few years, especially in my profession along with everything it embodies including my personal life.

Any community relies on each other regardless of how close or how much one does not know one another. Any loss makes major ripples, cracks and holes in lives as minuscule or major as they can be.

There is no reason to even have this vote. I wish I had the opportunity to know Steve, I wish at least at minimum a quick conversation... alas never had the time to truly know him...

At least one person nominated it.

That's not for me to say. At least one person nominated it and there's no reason that this nomination should be held to be invalid.

Woo hoo.. Im nominated. I wondered why my thread suddenly got some more likes.

This makes up for getting the pit strategy wrong and comming second to last.

Edit to add.. The right thread is winning.
