*slow clap*
Or they could just tie the speed limiter to the ECU which I'm sure every series that has them does. That said, I believe it will make the racing better since the drivers don't have to worry about pit road speed limit.I doubt it'll happen anyway, since that's another component that would add to the cost of building a car, and another thing that would have to be monitored to make sure it was actually being used, and goes against NASCAR's current cost-cutting mantra.
I don't really see the five-lug wheels going away anytime soon either, because NASCAR's been using those wheels since at least the '70s and probably have a lifetime supplier contract with the manufacturer. Not to mention it's one of the very few things that still holds any direct similarity to road cars, which they're still trying to at least maintain the illusion of.
So Kyle Busch won again in dominating fashion. Leading stage 1, getting a speeding penalty under caution, leading stage 2, and then winning the race.

NASCAR México trucks!
they're 6 cylinder powered.
They could, but knowing NASCAR's paranoia about electronics and love of exclusive contracts, they'd probably make it some proprietary add-on dongle that is only built in one specific factory and issued to each team at the start of each year. And then spin it as a cost-cutting measure, of course.Or they could just tie the speed limiter to the ECU which I'm sure every series that has them does.
In light of the Electric menace...everything that uses an internal combustion engine is good.View attachment 667909
Cue the bringing of torches and pitchforks because they emasculated trucks
Hope they aren't turbo, certain people might have a stroke![]()

And promptly gets busted for speeding.Matt Kenseth leads at the end of Stage 2.
Also:
Keep in mind a team owned by a Cup driver and getting Manufacterer support AND Cup support just announced they are shutting down (and said video features the sole remaining one). And this is just in Trucks mind you..
Was BKR getting Ford support? IIRC they cut support to the Truck series in 2009. Also there is a rumor that BKR will be transitioning into producing spec engines for the series in the future. I don't have a link to the source so take it with a grain of salt.
