Massive crash for sure. It was always going to happen there, as it did during the Super 2 race earlier today, but holy hell, never seen that many cars in a crash for a while.

They also need to stop having these races so late in the day. Something like this happens, then they have to cut it short because they run out of daylight.

Exactly. Could have deleted the Sports GT thing for more laps, in this "Top tier category".

Same with Courtney's it looks like. Big damage to the right rear.

No way they can fix that overnight.
 
McLaughlin starting from the back sort of takes the fun out of what will most likely be a lacklustre race. Another small but costly error for him unfortunately.
 
Why was he even called in?

Plus, I saw the #12 was beat. Race may have to be called.

Edit: look like they'll do half a lap. Doesn't make sense.
 
Can't remember the last time we had a long red flag in a time certain race. 75% distance rule still in effect? What happens when we don't make it?

There was a race abandoned at Calder in 1999(?) that was never started due to extreme rain, but I can't recall a race ever being started but not completed.

Correction: they just mentioned no points unless 50% distance completed.

Can't recall the last time there was a wet race at Symmons plains. Should make things interesting.

Cool bit of trivia: the first ever safety car in an ATCC / V8SC race was Symmons Plains 1997 due to rain.
 
Pretty sure this race will be cancelled or postponed until morning.

They better not issue results and points based on 3 laps of racing.

They make them late to keep the fans there otherwise they would just bugger off
 
Did SVG REALLY just do drifts after that "Win"..... unbelievable.
 
I could see Roland Done was fine for the "race" to resume.

How CAMS didn't adhere to their own rule book, is crazy. Even if half points are awarded, it's still not right.

Well, tomorrow should be fun.
