The NFL game that was supposed to be there on Oct 14th has been moved to Wembley too.

De Bruyne picked up a serious knee injury in Man City training and reports say he will be out for two to four months.

UEFA have asked Tottenham to clarify their stadium situation by 30th August, this comes after it was revealed that they might not be able to play Man City in October due to delays with their new stadium.

They've got what should be an easy next 6 games. They play all three clubs that were promoted for the 2017/2018 season and all three clubs that were promoted for this season.

They couldn't have gotten an easier start really.

Re: Mesut Özil and Raheem Sterling

Is it possible to criticise the playing form of a non-white player without it being labelled racist?

Neither is the only one on their respective national teams who deserves criticism either. The others get it and have gotten it to some extent, (Kimmerich, Neuer, manager Löw, Henderson, Kane) but possibly not to the same level and the media only seem to pick up the ones about these two in particular.

I wouldn't say racist as such but yes these players get way more than their fair share of criticism. Many white players also received more than their fair share too and that wasn't labelled as racist if the remarks came from a non white speaker and therefore shouldn't be labelled that way if the roles are reversed. I should still be able to criticise a black player even though I am white without it being labelled racist.

The best way for a player like Sterling to shut the haters up is just to play this season like he did last at Man City. You only have to be into football a little bit to see what he does in the team and mostly I would just say it's supporters of other teams writing the hate because of the club rivalries.

Sterling seems to be the new John Barnes; great a club level and nowhere near as good at international level.

Oh, and both are Jamaican-born England internationals too. ;)

... but for England.

He was actually pretty effective at the World Cup, but because he didn't score, it looks like he wasn't. When Kane "started to score like it was August", Sterling was one of the players who should have been sticking it in the net instead, but he didn't. When he scores 20 in a season for the club that pays him £20m a year, but doesn't score in 20 games for his country, it leads to accusations that he doesn't try hard enough for the national team.

But then as I said well before the tournament:

Then one player will get all of the blame but without Rooney I'm not sure who'll be the target now.
Sterling.

But then as I said well before the tournament:

And many also held that prediction, myself included. It's a little awkward when you can predict the media storm ahead of time even if there might be at least some justified criticism.

For being touted as England's "only real world-class player" and... *checks* captain, Kane should be getting loads more welly than he has done, Golden Boot or not. Henderson should be at the Old Bailey for his performance against Croatia.

La Liga are to have a competitive game outside of Spain. El BBC
The issue being that one team will lose a home game that season and one team will gain the advantage of both teams being at a neutral venue as opposed to just them. It's going to be a tricky one.

They couldn't have gotten an easier start really.

That's what I thought when I heard that during the Arsenal game. It works if you've got people hurt like they do now. If they don't have 21 points after 7 games they only have themselves to blame.

AC Milan have had a busy week with the Serie A deadline coming up today. After officially signing Bakayoko on loan from Chelsea (for a fee of €5 million), the club signed Villarreal winger Samu Castillejo. The 23 year old is leaving Spain on loan with an obligation to buy for €19 million and forward Carlos Bacca will be going the other way. The Rossoneri also swooped in for Genoa left back Diego Laxalt after a deal with Zenit fell through. The 25 year old impressed at the World Cup for Uruguay and will join Milan for €14 million.

There are now rumors that Milan will look for a last minute loan of Lazio's coveted Sergej Milinkovic-Savic for €40 million with an option to buy. The 23 year old attacking midfielder was being shopped around to Juventus, PSG, Man United and Real Madrid this summer for fees of anywhere from €120-150 million but nothing came to fruition.

Wednesday got our first win of the season last night, 2-0 away to Sunderland in the EFL Cup in a game I was pretty sure we'd lose.

That sends us into Round 2, where we'll host Wolves and definitely lose.

Daniel Arzani has been loaned to Celtic.
The loan move was going around the Australian media before he signed for City lol.

Apprently City where going to loan him to NAC in the Dutch league, and he was willing to sign for Roma instead unless they loaned him to a better team.

Chelsea v Arsenal up next...

Its 2-0 to Chelsea already after just 20 minutes, Pedro and Morata with the goals, Arsenal all over the place, could be a demolition job...

Edit, Arsenal have got their act together, 2-2 now, Mkhitaryan and Iwobi with the goals.

If Arsenal would quit hitting pitching wedges and hit a few knock down 3 irons they could have 5 by now. That's just ridiculous.

Just finished 3-2 to Chelsea, Alonso with the winner in the 80th minute, Arsenal had a good spell in the first half during which they got their goals, apart from that it was all Chelsea, same old problems for Arsenal.

Great game to watch.
