Man City and Burton Albion are through to the semi finals of the EFL Cup, City beat Leicester on penalties after it finished 1-1 after the 90, some of the penalties were horrible and Sterling's Paneka attempt is worth seeing! Burton beat Middlesbrough 1-0, fantastic achievement for them to make it to the Semis, they are quite a small club with few first team players coming from their youth teams.

Its the north London derby between Arsenal and Tottenham and Chelsea v Bournemouth in the other quarter finals tomorrow night.

United have 'accidently' leaked the news that Solskjaer is their interim boss, in their video library on their website there were a few Solskjaer videos with the caption 'United's interim boss', that have since been deleted.

I wouldn't mind Ole being the boss for now. He didn't do great with Cardiff but a relegation battle isn't the best first job whereas from what I can tell he's done decent back with Molde.

Either way he gets the United way and this season is already a write off. Nobody would walk in this season and make it a season to really remember but at least I think he could get us playing football I actually want to watch.

I think Zidane could really come in and do well at Man United. He has experience winning in La Liga and the Champions League and he has one big thing Jose quickly lost: Respect of the players.

Happy with Solskjaer and Phelan for now, they both get the club and know how to play attractive football, will be very interesting to see what happens in the summer, prefer Pochettino myself as I'm a long time admirer of his (not like that!) he would be perfect for the club, especially if we could get a technical director.

Spurs beat Arsenal 0-2 with goals from Son and Alli, Alli had a bottle throw at him by presumably an Arsenal supporter, Alli's response was to gesture the scoreline back to the crowd, Arsenal weren't good especially with that defence, Chelsea beat Bournemouth 1-0 with a Hazard winner fairly late on.

Can it be true? In amongst his selling-the-club tantrum, has Dejphon Chansiri given me a wonderful Christmas present?

City lost at home, United 1-3 at half time and playing so much better.

:D:tup:

That was emphatic from United, there will be tougher teams to play against than Cardiff including the small matter of PSG in the Champions League. Shows the talent is there in the squad, but it's not been used or motivated correctly.

One really nice difference between Ole and Jose, we've heared Ole talk several times in a few days about how good the players are, how much talent is in the team. Complete contrast to Jose who was telling the press that the Seville players were better than his players at United in March and letting the press know what he thought of players like Pogba.

Happy Christmas everyone, have a good one. 👍

Some good games to watch on MoTD tonight.

Solskjaer makes it 2 wins in 2 since taking charge at United with Pogba being influential once again. Man City losing for a second time on the trot, Liverpool looking very good at the moment, which worries me, and Tottenham absolutely demolishing Bournemouth.

I'm hoping for Brighton and Watford to get something from thier games.

Another good win, Pogba has been fantastic in the last two games, three defeats in four for Man City, MOTD should be good tonight.

Went to see Wrexham v Salford earlier, great performance by the home team as they run out 5-1 winners in a top of the conference clash in front of a big crowd, great day out! 👍

Unai Emery has been hit with a misconduct charge by the FA after he kicked a bottle into the Brighton crowd hitting a fan last night, he hit it in frustration and he did apologise straight after and after the final whistle, no surprise about the charge.

Gennaro Gattuso is in trouble at AC Milan and Arsene Wenger is reportedly waiting in the wings. The Rossoneri have gone 4 league games without a goal, their longest streak since 1984. A draw or loss to SPAL tomorrow might be his last match as manager.

There are also rumors of a Higuain for Morata swap with Chelsea which would be very complicated due to Higuain being on loan from Juventus. Sarri apparently wants him even though he is on the longest goal drought of his career at Milan.

Games this weekend.

Saturday
Brighton v Everton
Fulham v Huddersfield
Leicester v Cardiff
Liverpool v Arsenal (5.30 BT)
Tottenham v Wolves
Watford v Newcastle

Sunday
Crystal Palace v Chelsea (12pm Sky)
Burnley v West Ham (2.15)
Southampton v Man City (2.15 Sky)
Man United v Bournemouth (4.30 Sky)

No early games tomorrow, Big game in the early evening and three TV games on Sunday.

Liverpool hammered Arsenal 5-1, Liverpool are now 9 points clear with Man City to play tomorrow, Arsenal have got some big problems again, a few players out injured and they don't have the strength in depth.

Liverpool look relentless at the moment, I'm waiting/hoping for a wobble. I hate to say it, but they deserve to be at the top of the table at the moment and look like the best team in the league right now.

I suppose Arsenal getting thrashed help us, we just need to win today and close that gap a bit more. If we can sneak ahead of Arsenal then it's only one more place into the top 4. Early days for Ole though, he's started as well as we could have hoped but we have a big test in a couple of games against Spurs.

#BringbackArsene.

Games so far today, Chelsea beat Crystal Palace 0-1, Burnley beat West Ham 2-0 and Man City just beat Southampton 1-3, Man United v Bournemouth on in a bit.

Man City play Liverpool on Thursday night!

United 4-1 Bournemouth full time, Two from Pogba, one from Rashford and the other from a returning Lukaku, Pogba was fantastic as was Rashford whose assist for Pogba's first was sublime, Ake with Bournemouth's goal right before half time and Bailly was stupid in getting himself sent off for a challenge he didn't need to make.

Three wins in a row under OGS, and its amazing to see us playing proper Football again. 👍
