Holy smoke!

Why is Toto looking like that? I love Hamilton, but it's just the first race. Don't try to hand Hamilton the championship now. Let them duke it out!

Bottas used 'party mode' in first run and other in the next one? Great lap!

Wow, my tv decided to crash just as Q3 started. Thank you LG. :banghead:

It's the first run in Q3, do you expect him to be jumping about celebrating?

It's going to be pretty interesting tomorrow, behind the Mercedeses at least.

Mercedes trolled everyone in testing

Please don't be another 2014-2015 season

The gap was kinda like that last year, so hopefully season not over just yet.

Ok quali Max. Expected Ferrari really closer to Mercedes. Maybe in China?

Melbourne's old record, it's James

Still, the gap from Mercedes to Ferrari is the same as Melbourne last year and the Ferrari looks much softer over the bumps. I suspect that tomorrow's race will see the Merc consuming tyres much more quickly.

There's something with German drivers at Ferrari that gets under my skin... I don't quite know why, but it just is.

They said that those cars will be at least 1.5 sec slower...... Well they lied!!

To give you an idea of how far the hybrid cars have come along, the fastest qualifying time from 2014 was over ten seconds slower than this one.

Wasn’t it a wet quali in 2014?

I remember it because Riccy almost got pole and the grandstand by the pits went mental and you could hear them cheering... and then the disappointment when Lewis snatched it

Good job, Nando! Sorry, Lando

Honda P4.
Ricciardo not even reaching Q3.

What a lap by Hamilton! Excited for the race tomorrow, think it’s going to be a Ferrari and Mercedes podium again like previous years. Verstappen 4th in quali, not bad. Hoping for some surprises tomorrow though..

It would appear it was.

We can upgrade that then to a six-second improvement over the 2015 pole lap.

Currently knocking on many different wooden objects for Haas tomorrow.
