Sato is doing good so far today.
 
Sato doesn't need a rear diffuser. Knock it off for weight reduction.
 
Although he had a senior moment and ran off the road briefly near the end, congrats to dominant ancien pilote Takuma Sato. The youngsters have a ways to go yet before they take over IndyCar. :bowdown:
 
That's one way to make a statement. Hopefully Sato and the rest of RLL can keep the momentum going.

That was one of the most dominant drives I've seen in a long time.
 
Fingers crossed that he rolls this momentum into may. Should have won the 500 last year if it wasn’t for the issues in quali.

Rossi, to me, feels like he’s going to be a dominant force in the series for a long time

Not having cable I’ve seen only the highlights on YouTube, was wondering about the same.

I was listening to Quali and looking at the live timing and was cheering for Colton. His time in the penultimate session was the fastest of all, too bad he couldn’t repeat his performance in the final 6 (forgot the official name).

Dixon was also impressive, even after 5 titles hungry as ever. On IndyCar Radio they were talking about how few pole positions he have over his career but how regularly he scores a top 5 position in the race - the consistency needed to win championships.

This was the first qualifying I actually properly paid attention to and was thoroughly impressed. Sure, it’s a spec series with very good drivers but still, the last minutes of each session were just crazy.
 
Wow what a race! Simon Pagenaud wins the Indy GP with a masterful performance in the wet!
 
That was easily the best IndyGP yet! (okay, it's not like the bar was high) Nice to see some fresh faces closer to the front as well, including Harvey in 3rd.

That's what an exclusive TV deal will do
 
The production for practice sessions is considerably higher this year so it's not like they've changed nothing. Plus, the IndyCar pass is rather cheap compared to other series specific OTT services. Hell, I pay $120/year for NHRA and it's literally just the feed from the track PA & jumbotron!

Edit: I should also add that nobody in the U.S. should be complaining about the availability of IndyCar coverage considering the debacle that has been the International TV deals.

Yeah that was a big hit. Last I heard, they’re planning to Frankenstein together the main car on the backup tub and swap parts between the two to figure out the best setup. Really hope they figure it out. Probably the first time Alonso has made that big of a driving mistake in something like 5-6 years

He understeered into the wall. Someday he will oversteer and try to turn right. Then he will know real pain.
 


I guess growing the sport is still too much of a hard concept to grasp.
