Yeah. Saw that news. Deleted speedcafe. They kept checking my posts and deleting them. Good riddance.

Anyway, next year should be good racing from all teams, except the Sydney team. That's if it's happening,
You mustn't have been toxic/controversial enough to keep their view count up ;)
Without the three of us, it leaves more room for the brain-dead bogans to fill their sorry little forum.

I’ve written to Speedcafe & got nothing so they don’t give a toss despite having a ‘Comment Policy’.

I’m thinking of writing to a few of the sponsors of said site (the ones I’d use anyway) & letting them know just how low-grade that forum is.
If they don’t have a problem with that, they won’t miss my spend.

Maybe @Jordan could tell them how to run a clean & tidy shop ;)

Add Steve’s 5 to Jim’s 7 & they have a nice family dozen.

Easily the best father and son combo we've seen. 👍
Jim might outnumber him but Steve has the better strike rate.

True. But very few had the longevity that Jim had. 24 years between his first and last Bathurst wins is an incredible feat.

And 20 years for Steve is not too shabby either. Longevity must run in the family too.

Great bunch of people as well.

Now the Holden teams find themselves in the Kelly's shoes. Though I'm sure Holden will still support them.

The current deal with T8 ends at the end of 2021. Holden will apparently look at it's options after that. Unless they homologate the Equinox or some other cookie cutter SUV, I'm not sure what they are going to be racing.

 Lawdy lawdy...

I wonder if KR are going to also sell their TCR (Holden)Astras or just "re-rebadge" them. ;)

Anyway, can't wait to have a chat at work, with some of the Holden faithful.

The Camaro should have been sold here from the jump.

Yep, sold 'em 'ere and raced 'em 'ere 👍. They should have retired the Commodore name like the Falcon was, with it's name and reputation still in tact. Especially when near on half of all Aussie built Commodores sold were V8's in the latter years.

I'd say it's probably a pretty good chance that is what will replace the ZB.
I really do hope so. Stop with the shenanigans. Fans want to see it. No doubt Holden V8 buyers and potential car buyers want to get one. Good opportunity to reintroduce a Monaro(ain't gonna happen).

The more manufacturers, the better. :)

Definitely and bring it on. Just find it amusing that after WAU scrapped their plans for the Camaro. It now seems the most likely candidate to replace the ZB.

^ So much this 👍

Even though they called the ZB a Commodore, for me the Commodore died when Holden stopped making them in S.A.

It was only announced this week that the ZB's sibling, the Buick Regal, has been killed off in the U.S. Looking at its sales figures since release & I think GM realised they were whipping a dead horse both here, and domestically. Add to that the messy deal they would've had to conjure up with PSA as the new owners of Opel for any further update & it was just the easier option. Blind Freddy could see this day coming, it was just a matter of waiting for the official word.

For the Supercars, this HAS to mean if GM has any involvement at all, they race the Camaro. There is no way Holden will tip in funding when they don't have a presence on the racetrack. That means HRT 1989-2021. That means RD/T8 is currently assessing their options.

Hmm, Kia Stinger? Anyone? Anyone?

Betty firing up those E63s?:sly:;)

How about BJR, MSR? What do they do? Especially MSR. They could have had a leg up with the Mustang.

KIa Stinger? That's on the same sinking ship as the Commodore.

KIA have said they're not going to update it, so it's days are numbered too.

If there is an all Ford Mustang Grid, at leased V8 Supercars don't have to worry about making parity adjustments.

I haven't read that news(time to Google). Funny how I NOTICE more Stingers than Commodores. In Newcastle anyway.

I like Spacegoat's "What if...?". The M$ GT3 concept is on the cards to be revealed soon. Maybe an M4 VASC is in the cards. A proper factory supported engine program, would show how a TT(TT):sly: six-cylinder should be done.

If the sneak-peek of the new M4 GT3 is to be believed, the new oversize double-kidney grille will make that car the ugliest to ever have the propellor badge. :yuck:

Isn't the Camaro tipped to be discontinued in 2023? If the rumours turn out to be true, and the sources are said to be reliable, it will only buy the series a few more years. :nervous:
