Yes - it's true that there have always been unequal resources, but when the pool of players came more from "local lads" developed from an early age it seemed a bit more legit. It's not really "cheating" though is it? It has more to do with an imbalance in the ability to spend money. In the end, while a few teams may enjoy great success, the sport as a whole may suffer as the competition becomes too predictable. I guess that's what the governing body of the sport needs to regulate.The saying in sports, "if you're not cheating, then you're not trying." Teams will always try to find an advantage. Teams will buy foreign players at a young age and put them in the academy. Paul Pogba seems to be legit home grown talent, right?

Yeah - you're right about that. That kind of cheating is peculiarly endemic to soccer & not something that enters American football much at all. Different sport-specific cultures.
It was nice to get back to winning ways and to effectively win the game in the first half. We haven’t done that enough, though I don’t think our performance was particularly outstanding in any way, Burnley we’re terrible, we didn’t need it be. Still much, much better than we were against Newcastle, that was dire.
Credit to Crystal Palace, they just kept plugging away and got two goals in the 2nd half. Substitute Michael Olise really made a difference. Great cross into the box that Edouard tapped in then his own free kick that West Ham just didn't defend and it went in for a goal. But Palace came up just short losing 3-2. Patrick Vieira got a yellow card after the game for arguing with the referee.
