And because I new you're not a native speaker I gave you the Aussie meaning but you chose to ignore it because it doesn't fit your agenda.

See...
According to another native speaker from this forum it can also mean "too close" so the Cambridge dictionary is not completely useless down under. If you read my sentence you can see that I include "also" in there... so I didn't ignore what you said...
but you're sticking to your theory... are you an anger management trainer trying to make a living? :sly:

because as I've said countless times now that there's no real evidence that proves it or disproves it.
So why do you keep basing part of your judgement on this? It's a rhetorical question.

As a native speaker, I can confirm that this can also mean, "he got too close."
Thanks for confirming. 👍

Summary, (imo): Anton made a last minute desperate lunge: (mistake).

SVG: Wasmt expecting it and shocked. Blinded by anger drove towards the back of Anton's car in an agressive manner, logic prevailed and swerved round him at the last minute. Later calmed down and realised his mistake and had a chat and both probably apologised to each other.

The end.

I love my new Profile picture that's in honor of @Ozzoky and @ColinNZ's bias and the newly formed Supporters of SVG Hatters Club. :sly:;)

Just for a bit of fun and for this week only :)

Would you two get a room already? 😆
We are not that kind of couple! Not that there’s anything wrong with that! :D
Oh wait… That’s probably not the Aussie meaning! ;)

A comedy classic that took longer to pop up than I expected!

@FPV MIC : I also updated my profile picture with some fine comedy (the look on Scotty’s face  priceless)

Must admit to having a laugh at Scotty's expense when that happened too... but it was hardly the SVG big brain moment Skaife made it out to be ;)

100% this.

More importantly, we've got another 3 races coming up this weekend.

100% this.
 Finally! You do realize you just 100% agreed that SVG acted like a dick, just without actually saying he acted like a dick, and that it was because he was angry (which is exactly what I've been saying, and what got you guys all riled up, all along) don't you?

Moving onto this weekend. Think it might end being pretty uneventful for the most part. Both DJR cars will probably be very hard to beat, not expecting any surprise winners or anything.

Where is it ?

Edit: Oh shoot. That WAU Bathurst line up look like a winner. Again…
Yeah, Mostert and Coulthard should be strong. Think Percat and Luff (aka, Mr Reliable) could be in the mix as well.

There certainly gonna be strong, obviously its the car that was strong in December with both drivers in the car. So I'd say there gonna be the favourite to go back to back.

I’ve been to The Bend multiple times now and have watched a fair amount of races on TV but I still struggle to tell one part of the track from the next. I’m completely lost between the first 3 and last 2 corners.

Both Brown and Kostecki to stay at Erebus until the end '24. This puts an end to the speculation of Brown replacing Davison at DJR but with the form Davison is in, don't think that worries them too much.

Well that's not something I expected to see this weekend.

Forget what I said about not expecting any surprises this weekend. Would have imagined a wildcard on pole. Incredible!

Relief that more cars weren't caught up in the incident at the start. Could have been extremely messy. Glad that both Randle, Heimgartner are okay.

There’s a bit of rain passing over Adelaide now, let’s see if it makes it over the hills and spice the race up a little.

All I can say is I can't wait for next year.

Awesome wet weather battle at the front of the race.
Yeah, the initial battle between Waters and SVG was brilliant. Shame that Waters couldn't hang with him after that.

I wrote off the season after Townsville and this round just consolidated that. Well done to Shane Van Gisbergen on winning his 3rd championship. Now I'll go back to sleep again.

It would've been good to see what Chaz would've done if he didn't run into the back of Davo.

Never going to see TCR as a support race, eh?
It's TCM ;)... which to me is even better. S5000 Tasman Series is a welcome addition as well. GT World Challenge... meh, but could be worse I guess.

It's really shaping up to be back to the events former glory. They've even got a naming rights sponsor on board too.

Edit: The after race concerts seem pretty well balanced too.

@Twisteddrift It would've been good to see what Will Davison could've done too. He still managed to finish fourth in front of Chaz after he took him out (accidently), had an extra spin, and from what he said (although I didn't see it) another off as well. He might* have been able to take the fight up to SVG if he wasn't put under so much pressure from that early incident.

*probably would've still binned it somewhere though.

Just saying Supercars still thinking TCR is a competitor.

I feel TCM is the best category in Australia though. ;) Next year, at Newcastle, those Gen3 cars have to show & prove. It’s got to be good. Has to be. The cars will be awesome.
