Hi everyone! Welcome to the 2023 International Rally Championship.
We are looking forward to having an another season of the Rally Championship! This idea of creating a rally series started when I was competing into a rallycross championship on GT6. That took me to host a WRC championship, however, seeing that it was complicated, it ended on being a failure. But while my old PS3 was broken and that I was still waiting for a new one, I already was planning to revive the idea of doing my rally championship and make it sucessfull, as there aren't very much rally championships which are sucessfull.
In September 2017, Pedro Harsk has stepped down as a GORO steward which ended the cooperation between GORO and GRC. As a result, the Rally Senegal was the last GT6 Rally Round under the banner.
Since then, it became International Rally Championship from 2018 onwards and it was also moved to Gran Turismo Sport on PS4, where it remained for 5 seasons.
But in 2023, International Rally Championship will hosted on Gran Turismo 7.

The 2023 IRC will be contested with 10 classes, ranging from Gr. B Rally Cars to N100 Road Cars. This season will also mark the return of Suzuki V6 Escudo Pikes Peak '98, Renault 8 Gordini, Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 Rally Car '86 and Toyota Celica GT-FOUR ST205 Rally Car. Since the establishment of new era of 2017 GRC, the Race Cars, Vision GT Cars, Prototypes and Supercars have been banned from competing on rally rounds. This year also marks of Trophy Truck Pick-ups competing on a rally championship for a fifth time. There will be 12 rounds, with 6 rounds being in Asphalt and Gravel each.

With that, the rally championship will become more realistic and fair without having to worry about the Race Cars.

If you have any question, suggestion or feedback, please let us know. 👍

Enjoy!

1.4- The Sporting Regulations document are not definitive, therefore, they are sujected to the change at any time, for any reason.

2.1.2- Each rally event will be lasting 1 week.

2.1.3- The Rally Event's deadline starts at Mondays at 00:00 GMT+0 and it ends at Sundays at 23:59 GMT+0, depending of your timezone.

2.2.1- There will be Point-to-Point tracks during the season for each rally event.

2.2.2- The rally events may contain from 1 to 30 Stages, depending of track Length.

2.2.3- Before the participants do the rally, they will be given a number of laps practise, meaning: One Practice Lap, One Timed Lap.

2.2.4- The weather conditions for each rally event will be based on the real life weather conditions.

2.2.5- The runs must be made in a Online Lobby.

2.2.6- The times of the 5 special stages will be added to the total Lap Time of the rally event. Here's an example of a rally Event result which will look like.
2017-res-jpg.986058

2.2.7- All drivers, who had started the “Race Event” in order to set the best lap time for each special stage, must save the replay, so the Series Organizers can add the lap times.

2.2.8- If the rally has started and if you have joined the lobby to do your runs, wait for your turn to do the rally. There are plenty of opportunities to do the rally.

2.2.9- During a Rally event, a specific number of laps will be given to a rally round, which will be acting as a Special Stages.

2.2.10- To be classified, a driver must complete the required number laps for each rally.

2.2.13- The rally Rounds lap times must be done on Racing Alone (1 by 1), to prevent a Driver from ruining other driver's lap times: that way would be a 2nd driver interference and a 2nd driver interference is not allowed for the rallies! The mode will be in “Race” Mode.

2.2.14- After the participants have submitted their lap times, they are not allowed to submit the new lap times. Ignore this rule will result a penalty.

2.2.15- All drivers, who do the rally runs, must start from the 2nd grid row instead of 1st grid row. Starting from 1st grid row will not be acceptable and will result a 1 additional second being added to the total lap time.

3.4- The bonus points will not be awarded for the Championship.

3.5- There will be a Countries and a Manufacturer's championship, however, to prevent the disvantage from a manufacturer/country, only the highest finishing driver will score points for Manufacturer and Country Championship Standings.

4.1- The driver with the most points for the season will be crowned [2023 INTERNATIONAL RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP DRIVER/MANUFACTURER/TEAM/COUNTRY].

4.2- If two or more drivers finish the season with the same number of the points, the champion and runner-up will be decided on the following criteria:

4.2.5- The average finishing position.

4.3- If the two drivers meet up with the same criteria, the Series Organisers may have to do an extra round to decide the champion.

4.4- If the two drivers have finished the championship with the same number of points and if they are on the same teams, they will be crowned as champions.

Hello everyone!
After a few days of sorting out my PS5 issues, I finally announce that 2023 IRC has just started today.

The Opening IRC Round will be in Colorado Springs, the track which will be used for Round #1. Round #1 will be the USA Rally, which will also serve as a tribute to Ken Block, a rally driver which unfortunately has passed away last month.

The rally will be 4 laps long.

I'm looking forward to see you guys on the track... Good luck!

Drivers, Start your Engines!

Hi Harsk, I'd like to register. Been a while and i think it's time to see how much better I've gotten.

Name: Ryan Obelisk
PSN ID: RMedia_Obelisk
Age: 27
Car: Toyota 86 Gr. B Rally Car
Class: BGT
Country: United States
Team: Shadow Racers
Number: #53

Quick question, are engine-swapped vehicles allowed as long as they are within regulations? I.E. could a driver enter with a 13B swapped NA MX5 as long as it fits within the N class restrictions?

Edit: The IRC decals are not available for some reason. Could you double check?

Welcome back to IRC, Obelisk!
Yes, Engine Swapped on Road Cars are allowed and eligible for IRC points, as long as they meet N Class Regulations.

Unfortunately, the number #18 was already taken by other driver, so you will have to pick other number.

Regarding about IRC decals, unfortunately, @syntex123 , who made the IRC decals did not import the IRC decals from GTSPORT to GT7.

I'm using the following IRC Decal as a temporary one, while Syntex123 doesn't import the IRC Decals to GT7 yet.

Thank you! I'll take #53 if that's available?

Apologies for double post, everyone.

Here are Round #1 results:

@Harsk100 starts the seaosn the same way as last year, with a victory! The Ford driver takes the victory ahead of Christianne Harsk's Mitsubishi and Troy Nettleton's Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec II Nur '02. The Nissan driver takes the class victory in N300 and surprises everyone with a 3rd place overall!

That was the best result ever for a N300 Class driver, beating the previous record from last year when he finished 5th overall on Round #2 of 2022 IRC from Rally UK.

Peugeot 205 Turbo 16 Evolution 2 Rally Car '86 and Toyota Celica GT-FOUR ST205 Rally Car '95 made their return to IRC as well.

Here are the standings after Round #1:

The track is Dragon Trail Gardens Forward and it is set to 3 laps long. For very first time, the Rally Croatia will feature rain and will also night time! As it will rain in Croatia from 25th to 26th March.

I'm looking forward to see you all on the track for Round #3 from Rally Croatia.

@Obelisk @ss3 @epic_apri_39

Good luck!

Are drivers in the BGT classes (or any other class running Racing tires) allowed to equip the Racing: Intermediate or Racing: Wet tires for a rain round?

Are drivers in the BGT classes (or any other class running Racing tires) allowed to equip the Racing: Intermediate or Racing: Wet tires for a rain round?
Only the Group BGT Class Drivers are allowed to equip the Racing: Intermediate Tires and Racing: Wet Tires for a rain Round. The other classes Cars such as Group A are not, because if you equip Sports Soft Tires in a Honda Civic Type R for example, then you can't use Intermediate Tires.

Hello everyone.
Round #3 is finished, the winner is @Harsk100 ahead of @Obelisk and @Richie massie , who was the Surprising driver by finishing 3rd overall in Round #3!

Overall Driver Championship Standings after Round #3:
1- @Harsk100 96 points, 2- Christianne Harsk 68 points, 3- @Obelisk 52 points 4- Catarina Alexandra 44 points*, 5- @ss3 44 points*, 6- @Richie massie 40 points, 7- Troy Nettleton 28 points, , 7- Ana Rebelo 16 points, 9- BD One 12 points, 10- @Fiona Rattray 8 points.

*Catarina Alexandra is ahead of @ss3 in standings due to most of finished rallies; @ss3 has one podium and a fifth place, however he did not finish Round #3 due to mechanical issues. When he suffered mechanical issues, he was leading the rally and even won a special stage (1st lap).

Overall Manufacturer Championship Standings After Round #2:
1- Ford 96 points, 2- Mitsubishi & Toyota 72 points, 4- Nissan 60 points, 5- Hyundai 44 points, 6- Peugeot 29 points, 7- Audi 28 points, 8- Alfa Romeo 14 points, 9- Radical 12 points and 10- Honda 10 points.

Great Driving from @Obelisk and @Richie massie in the rain! This Round also marked the debut of Radical in Rally Rounds and return of Ferrari and Mazda on IRC.

The reason why I put the rain on Dragon Trail is not just because of the fact the rally would be based in real life weather (On 25th and 26th March, there was rain in Croatia), but also to increase more difficulty and make the track a challenge, as if I put tarmac track without rain, the challenge would become way too easy.

Regarding about Round #4 from Rally Belgium, it was originally to be scheduled this week (10-16 April). But unfortunately, 16th April is the Easter Day for the Orthodox and it would therefore not be fair to some of drivers who would love to participate, but are unable because of Easter Day.

So, to keep it fair, the Round #4 from Rally Belgium has been postponed and will be pushed 1 week forward. That means that the Belgian rally will be starting in 17th April and will be finishing in 23rd April.

From Round #3, the Toyota Alphard Executive Lounge '18, Mazda 3 X Burgundy Selection '19 and the Porsche Carrera GTS (904) '64 are now eligible to compete on IRC.

FsZJCSnWwAEIcuH.jpg:large

As for Porsche 959, I still need to see if Porsche can reach the N300 Specs, as it has 443 BHP when it is purchased from Legeandary Car Dealership. If the Porsche 959 is detuned to 349 BHP, the car will also be eligible for IRC as well.

See you in Round #4!

Hello everybody.

Tommorrow, the Rally of Belgium will be live. The rally will be in Circuit de Spa Francorchamps and will be set to 2 Laps Long.

Spa-Francorchamps-24H-2022.png

By the way, I would like to pay tribute to Craig Breen, who has tragically passed away two days ago. For that, I'm planning to add Rally Ireland and Rally Italy to IRC Calendar, which if this is done, the number of IRC Rounds will be 14 instead of 12.

Like in Rally Croatia at Dragon Trail, Spa Francorchamps track will also feature rain, but this time, the rally will be run in day time. (In Belgium, there will be rain in 22nd April and 23rd April.)

And also, here are two videos of Rally Belgium and a tribute to Craig Breen.

I'm looking forward to see you all on the track for Round #4 from Rally Belgium.

@Obelisk @ss3 @epic_apri_39 @Richie massie

Good luck!

Hi Harsk,

What will the rain conditions be? Light, heavy, or torrential?
Hello Obelisk!

The rain in Belgium is will be between 30% to 60%, therefore, the Rain in Rally Belgium will be lighter than in Rally Croatia.

Ok. 👍 In the Lobby settings, the Croatia event was set to Torrential Rain. Will it be Heavy Rain in the Lobby settings for this week?

By the way, is everybody okay if I add the Rally Ireland and Rally Italy to IRC Calendar? If so, then the IRC Calendar will have 14 rounds instead of current calendar of 12 rounds.

The next round is Rally Switzerland which will be the 3rd Asphalt Rally Round of the season and will be live in 22-28 May.

Thanks for participating in Round #4.

See you in Round #5!

Hello everybody.

After speaking with all drivers about adding two additional rounds to IRC Calendar, the majority of drivers have approved the decision of adding two additional rounds to IRC Calendar.
Therefore, the number of rounds will be increased from 12 rounds to 14 Rounds. Those two additional Rounds are:

1st Rally of Ireland (17-23 July) - The first edition Rally of Ireland will be the Round #8 of IRC Calendar, and the track will be run in Sardegna Type A Forward. It will be live on 17-23 July.

7th Rally Italy (6-12 November) - The seventh edition of Rally Italy was not on Originally planned IRC Calendar, but because I want to pay tribute to Craig Breen, Rally Italy returns to IRC along with Rally Ireland as Round #12 of IRC Calendar. The track is Sardegna Windmils Forward and it will be 6 laps long.

See you in Round #5 from Rally Switzerland, which will be live in two weeks!

Good morning everyone!

The Round #5 from Rally Switzerland will start tommorrow. It will be Switzerland's return to IRC, as the last time that the Swiss Rally was valid for IRC points was in 2018.
The chosen track for this rally is Deep Forest Raceway and the rally will be 3 laps long.

Watch out for the Run-off Area on the turn 4! There is a Run-off Area that everybody can easily cut that corner which will shave 2 seconds in a single lap.
Corner cutting in this run-off area is not accepted and will result a 5-second penalty being added to the total lap time if a driver is caught doing so.
Unlike the two previous rounds, Rally Switzerland's weather will be dry. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to put rain on Deep Forest Raceway in GT7...

I'm looking forward to see you all on the track for Round #5 from Rally Switzerland.

@Obelisk @ss3 @epic_apri_39 @Richie massie

Good luck!

Round #5 is now live.
