We'll see how things shake out today. But early indication is the Ford still around 2km/h slower than the Camaro, even with the restrictor size adjustment. Toyota is on average 1km/h slower than the Mustang.

Unless there's rain or something. It might be a long weekend for the Toyota camp.
And Wood just got a huge helping of the wall in forrest's elbow. 😬

Just catching up on it. And yeah, big impact on the front right. Doubt we'll see that car for the rest of the day. :guilty:

Strange old Qualy that was.. Good on MSR getting both cars in and Bates going quickest.

Probably be the one time I'll want a T8 car to win since their Hog's Breath logo days.

Going to be a long race for Toyota.
😥

Think it could be a long one for Ford too. With no rain on the forecast. The Camaro's will disappear into the distance.

Can't fault their reasoning. Obviously every dollar matters and door numbers do take up a lot of valuable space. But where's the fun in that? Door numbers just look cooler. 😅

Oh please. Like teams couldn’t be creative with their sponsors.

Even with the GRM and Penrite liveries above, they could do this.

Eh I'm not so certain, I just don't know if the Camaro teams have been quick have the overall strength to fend off the big Ford teams for long enough. No offence to Aaron Seton, but he's not the calibre of the co drivers in most of the contending cars, and same goes for a few of those cars we didn't expect to be up the front.

That was kind of my thinking as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if we have a Ford lockout on the front row for the race, just due to the talent and experience fighting at the front that the Ford teams have.

Yeah, maybe I'm being too cynical but I can't help of thinking back to last year, where the RBs and one of the Erebus Camaro's were running away from the field before the rain came. Co-Drivers might be a weak link for some of the Chevs. Just don't know if the Fords can stay with them over the long run.

Could be an intriguing race, could be a snoozer, hoping for some chaos at least

Looks like it’ll be a quick one.

Guess the Polariser isn't working for the Reynolds/Courtney mobile.

That kid. He’ll never give the seat up.

I’ll be happy with a Supra in the top 10.

Oof. A drive thru penalty. The #19 continues to shoot themselves in the foot.

Two things. Sneaky good drive from the #55 to get into the top ten.

And can they go the whole distance without a safety car? That would be quite something.

Edit: Well, if anything was going to stop the #17 it was going to be their own pitcrew. Its been Brodie's Achilles heel all year.

There hasn’t been much to write home about. I’m enjoying the way the strategies have played out throughout the day, but on-track action has been a bit lacklustre.

Two Supras in the top ten will be a win for Toyota.

Anton is going to run out, isn't he?

Nevermind. Safety car is going to save him.

Please give us at least one lap!

Edit: Here we go, this will be spicy!

Yeah, I wouldn't want to be Anton or Bates with a annoyed Kostecki behind me.

At least Whincup waited until Forest Elbow to run out of fuel.

What a bottle job from Team 18. There's no way Anton should have been short.
