I hope Logan Sargeant does well in the upcoming 24 Hours of Le Mans. This recent interview gives a good look at how he’s rebuilt after F1, back in IMSA already, into his first WEC season in GT3 with Proton’s Ford Mustang program, already with a couple of races under his belt. He is also tied into Ford’s LMDh Hypercar project for 2027. Feels like a proper reset and 2026 could be a big year for him in endurance racing.

Genesis with a special livery for Le Mans :

Test Day FP1 is about to start for 3 hours. You can listen it to Radio Le Mans, or follow the Live Timing (that said, I don't know if a subscription is necessary).

FP1 Test Day results :
Hypercar - #101 Cadillac WTR
LMP2 - #183 AF Corse
LMGT3 - #21 Vista AF Corse

FP2 Test Day results :
Hypercar - #007 Astom Martin THOR Team
LMP2 - #28 IDEC SPORT
LMGT3 - #54 Vista AF Corse

Combined results Test Day :
Hypercar - #007 Astom Martin THOR Team
LMP2 - #28 IDEC SPORT
LMGT3 - #54 Vista AF Corse

Cars that did better during the morning session are few (#101 ; #183 ; #43 ; #4 ; #37).

Love the #87 livery. It’ll be the GT3 car I’ll be watching. The #17 and #93 are my underdog picks.

I've just signed up to the FIA WEC+ app - it's the only option for me to watch the LM 24h, as I refuse to use TNT Sports/Discovery +... their subscription service is diabolical.

The FIA WEC app isn't brilliant either, but the coverage was fine and hopefully it will work smoothly for this week!

It seems to me that #94 is a step above #93 if not two.

I'm expecting a quartet of Toyota / Ferrari / Alpine / Cadillac to battle for the win. The Aston Martin Valkyrie looks strong on the paper, but it has the same strengths and weaknesses as Cadillac last year (fastest in S1/3, slower in S2). I don't know what to say about BMW, but it seems that Alpine has addressed its weakness in terms of top speed, unlike them. Genesis is here to learn, and Peugeot can only pray for rain which looks unlikely.

In LMP3 I expect to see both Inter Europol Competition cars (#43 & #343), the #29 Forestier Racing by Panis, #30 Duqueine Team, and #22 United Autosports into the top spots.

As for LMGT3, Chevrolet looks strong here and so does Ford. McLaren could be another contender though.

Edit :
Guys, the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH-C could be back next year in ALMS with High Class Racing...

I am excited for the Saturday's race. I am hoping that we will see a new winner in the top division this year. Don't get me wrong I love to see dominance as much as the next person but I would like to see a different winner. I won't be able to watch it this year so I will have to follow it on my phone. Hopefully get a nice tight race at all levels.

For me what would make the switch is an Apple TV or Chrome app. I just cannot have my phone streaming to my TV all day.

MSZ
I have my PC hooked up to my TV so I'm good to go.
Yeah I don’t have a PC to do that, plus I’d need another HDMI input. I’ve tried in the TV browser but that is awful.

I miss the Eurosport app, it’s been downhill since then

So, North America. Is the $25 WEC+ my only option for watching any of the race? That's only worth it to me if I stay up and watch every minute of the race but I won't be able to do that....
