I just found that truTV is showing the full 24 hrs.
Not the network I was expecting to read about doing that but if that means I don't need another expensive subscription (especially at a time where prices continue to rise), I'm not complaining.

Yeah usually it would be Motortrend which became Discovery Turbo. The highlight of that channel this weekend is a Garage Squad marathon.

Got to say, that is one beautiful looking car. Like most people, I'm gutted that Porsche have pulled out of WEC, but it great to see a new manufacturer joining, and 8 manufacturers putting at least 2 cars each on the grid will make for a great race.

I just dug out my Apple dongle that lets me connect up my iPad to the TV - that expensive little bugger will finally earn it's keep if it works well for this 😅

Serious things start now.

We have a few showers passing to the north of the circuit, there is a slight risk of showers between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM local time, but apart from that we should not see any wet conditions this year.

Porsche have removed their branding from the bridge at the Porsche Experience Centre.

Edit: Commentator has just said this is the lowest Porsche entries since 1951

Adecco are now sponsoring Tertre Rouge

It took me a while to recognize who "Michelle" in the wec+ stream commentary is :D
(Michelle Gatting from the Iron Dames)

I was used to brake replacements, but not to a change of manufacturer.

Edit :
Right now, laptimes are 2s faster than during last year's FP1 in LMGT3, 0.7s faster in LMP2, and 0.2s slower in Hypercar.
Last year we had 7 cars in 3:25.xxx.

I'm not watching the video feed but keeping an eye on the live timings on Autosport. Don't recall the weather conditions for last year's FP1, but by all accounts it's cold and potentially damp in Le Mans right now. That will effect times.

Looks dry on TV. Track still quite green though.

I’m also showing the session finishing at 17:10? But I’m not sure if my tv is on a delay?

And poor Alpine mechanics. I hope it's repairable, it seems complicated with so little time.

FP1 results here

Aston Martin holding 1st and 2nd in Hypercar Qualifying halfway through the session. The Top 15 all have laps within a 1 second margin!

That was a heck of a qualifying. Gutted for Peugeot, and genuinely shocked by Ferrari's poor performance, especially from the #83 customer car. On the flipside, great perfomances from Aston Martin, Cadillac and Alpine. I'm sure Genesis is also pleased with getting both of their cars into Hyperpole.

Will be setting off for Le Mans tomorrow for my first time there for 20 years. Absolutely buzzing.

Last and only time i've been before was 2006, the first year a diesel car won Le Mans, the only competition they had were Pescarolo and they beat them by a few laps.

Had to make a return for what I think is a new golden age for Endurance racing. So many manufacturers in the top class and the gaps between them seem very small.

Currently watching FP2 with a beer to get in the mood.

Is the race available in Uhd ? Cant find it anywhere, it just seems odd that i can get some content in 4k but no actual racing? Anybody know ?
