NOTICE: FOR EVERYONE ASKING HOW TO EARN ~100Kcr IN 4 MINUTES
In the fifth category, it's the american racing subcategory. You have to be lvl 23 to race it. The first race is 5 laps around indy with ~48 seconds a lap. You get 98K for winning and just under a square of xp.
Tip: switch to controller and use automatic trans for minimal effort lol.

I grinded my way to level 24 with that technique.

Btw, I got golds in the second amg challenge category and the 24hr nur. setup doesn't even change with time :( it's just gp and nordshleife connected. boo.

Also, if you want to grind to lvl 23, buy a german touring car and do the 1-lap nordshleife in the touring car subcategory plus you'll gain massive skills at ring driving (which is how I managed gold on amg challenge 2)

1) Is there any way to retry an event without exiting (like GT5P) out to the main menu? It ends up adding an extra 2-3 minutes to leave the event and re-enter it if you're just trying to rack up cash.

2) Where's the 1-lap Nordschleife touring car event?

Thanks!

You guys crack me up. A Ferrari 330P4 is what I would term a LEGENDARY car in the game (past EPIC, well beyond RARE). Go google how much hard work and how long you have to grind to get a LEGENDARY item in World of Warcraft and other such games and be happy! 13hours of grinding is nothing believe me! It took me 6-9 months of solid hard work to get my Legendary sword in WoW.

As others have said, you don't just walk down to your local Ferrari dealer and buy a Ferrari 330P4 with cash in real life, so doing so in GT5 would make it seem totally unrealistic.

To me, when I buy a Ferrari 330P4, I would consider that to be "finishing" the game, and if your expectations on finishing a this game less than a week after it's release then think again!

Very well said.👍

Some don't want to commit that much of our lives to what is in the end meant to be a fun, joyous and ultimately not that meaningful exercise.

yeah, been there, done that. I'm older now and don't have the time to put that much of my time into the game.

I am officially an owner of a P4. somebody traded me for my fully tuned bugatti. I suggest you epople frequent the trading thread to find these cars

you gave up your Veyron for a P4??? why???

It is worth as much as creating a second account and get it as a birthday gift...

Didn't want to do it that way

No, you have to restart manually, and the event is in the fifth category under german touring car league.

20m is still excessive. I could deal with 10m MAX but 20m is just too much.

Yeah I was hoping we could transfer my car collection from GT5p I have over 20 F1 cars to sell. That should at least buy me one of those rare cars.

I think PD is hoping this should keep us busy until GT6 comes out in another 5 yrs.

That's pretty much what GT is about. Rewarding hard work with shiny new cars. For cheap, fast thrills you turn to other racing games.

What?

As for the logic, WoW, and similar games, encourage coordinated online play - GT5 does not. If WoW unlocked everything for every player there would be no point to the game as all players would get everything when they start. WoW makes money on subscriptions so they will never do it.

GT5 is meant to played in arcade mode, by one person, at home, alone. The idea that must have a career to race by myself or with a few a friends is silly. I do not pay on the margin to play GT5 (no subscription) so DP has no incentive to lock so much stuff.

Also, WoW players would regularly interact with noobs that have all the best stuff which they might find annoying. You will never know I have all the cars and tracks unlocked on GT5 as there is no decent online playing. And if I did race a dedicated grinder I would lose and you could rub it in my face. There is absolutely no harm done by having no licenses, no levels, and all the cars being free - none.

So it is absolutely nothing like WoW or any other MMORPG.

And by the way I can buy anything I want for WoW at MMOBay and similar sites - sorry only poor people grind. I would happily pay real money for someone else to unlock my GT5 and get me a nice stable of rides.

Then do so! go to the trading thread like motortrend did and trade your way to you dream car.

I mean listen to your arguement, you are saying that PD should release the game with all cars available to play including Redbull X1 from day 1. How rediculous would that be? It is not an arcade game, it's a simulator with arcade mode.

In a way there is multi player aspect. If everyone had access to every car then online racing would be no fun at all as every idiot would be in the X1 from day 1, same analogy as WoW having access to every item. Given, PD does not make money from your grinding, but PD wouldn't sell many copies of "GT5 Arcade" either I suspect...

So according to your logic, ALL GAMES ever made should start out on the boss level with all items equiped? Level 1 of Mario is against Bowser? Gordon Freeman starts level 1 with a gravity gun? Please... you're wasting valuable grinding time

Then GT5 and esp GT mode isn't the game for you. There are plenty of cars to drive without the time investment needed. It's a moot point as there are NO GAMES out there of this calibre that does not require meaningful amounts of time to have meaningful experiences. Want cheap thrills? buy mario kart

This isnt WoW. The GT5 community are mostly filled with people who enjoy playing GT5 but also have something else to do outside GT5

WoW is filled with people who have no life, from what i've met of WoW players

I have a life. I'd also like to drive some expensive cars on a game that I paid money for.

If going online with hacked cars is an issue, I'm happy for them to disable the online feature of my game in return for a gameplay that allows met o make a lot of money, save mid-championship, repeat races within championships, and general things that makes a game more like fun and less like a heap of work

Not that I necessarily disagrees with your general opinion that having to unlock and buy cars is a good thing - added incentive through rewards is generally not something I'm against (unless it turns into a required grind) - but the argument that this progression system is more at home in a simulator than an arcade racer holds very little merit in my opinion.

Traditionally racing sims - on PC (arguably still the only platform where you find "hardcore" sims) - have more often than not come with all cars and tracks available right off the bat, and may only have had very rudimentary "career" modes, if any at all.
Everything available from the start to use in "race weekends", time trials or practice sessions is arguably all a sim racer really needs. The meat of the game is in the driving/racing, not in an RPG like progression system (RPGs is however one of my other favourite game genres, which might be why I do to some extent like level and unlocking systems in other types of games as well).

I found a useful method for those who are loowww level. Sign up a new PSN account with your birthday as the day and month you are doing this exploit on, but make sure the year is 1944 (this is birthday exploit, just clarifying for thsoe who never heard of it)...Then you will get a car as a birthday gift which can be sold for 73,000k...

And then start completing the special events like Kart, and nascar, the AMG challenge. You will get like 500,000k by the time you finish all these events.....and it's good practice if you are looking to gold the AMG challenge....

Then you can use the credits to buy whatever car, and gift it to your main account....

Im not 100% sure if this method is efficient, but I'm low level at 13 and this seems to be the best way....I have very limited time to play since it's exam season...and it seems that it takes forever to level up to the next level at my current level...So it's gonna be a long time until I'm doing the level 23, 100,000k race....

I've got an XJ13 and you're not missing out on much.

Play the gt5 game: shot in the dark, on facebook and if you choose one rival (from the non friendslist) you will get an code for the Chrome line XJ13 :D

The codes are EU-only.... :grumpy:

You don't need these cars. These cars were put in for realism, they are very rare (in real life) and probably would cost $20million. Therefore they're there for once you've completed the game, you can make craploads of cash and just buy one cause it's cool.

The only reason you'd need one is for the Historic Car Cup, which can be done in a regular Countach, here's my guide if I'm correct: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=135260

This whole arguement that 330 P4's are worth 9 million and not 20... In that case Civic Type R Ek (98) are worth 8k not 18... Stupid ***** it's called a different currency. Jeeeees. Probably would never buy these cars anyway.

If someone told me that I was going to have to stick with used Skylines from the 90s and Yarises/Vitzes because I'd have to make GT5 a full time job to afford the really exciting cars, I'd never have bought the game.

In fact that means GT5 isn't the game for most people. Still many are surprised and angry when casual gamers say they think GT5 is too much work for them to be fun.

Why 1944? Is that the year that is assured of giving you the most valuable car on average?

GT5 is NOT a "casual" game. The Gran Turismo series has always been the World of Warcraft of racers. This statement is a million times more true with GT5 than it ever has been, with levels and online now.

Then Sony/PD shouldn't expect sales to be very high after the release frenzy.
