I remember Sunday night, the used Jack's line "I'm not doing this anymore." to get some sort of "Oh no!"

The nuke though, kind of killed that drama since it only happened minutes afterwards.

"I'm doing this anymore." Big drama, crowd gets sad.
Nuke goes off, Jack changes mind 3 minutes later. Drama dead, crowd happy.

...There used to be a way to watch the episodes on MySpace (for those who can't see it yet), so you may want to click-around on there to try to find this season's episodes...

When a formerly-regular actor becomes a "guest star" on this show, it means they are going to die. Roger Cross and Kal Penn were not long for this show...

Yeah, they really ought to stop doing that.

I liked Curtis, but his death didn't hit me nearly as hard as Tony's.

There's word that Curtis might still be alive, but c'mon...when Jack shoots you in the neck you're pretty much done.

EDIT: Or he might pull a Tony and be up and running in 2 hours. Who knows...

Haha, yeah...

Jack has already been stabbed in the shoulder and stabbed right through the body, and now he's running around okay like usual. :p There isn't ANY blood in his T-shirt either, so he has stopped bleeding too.

Has anyone else heard the crap that some of the liberal news orgainizations are trying to pull with 24? Apparently we are supposed to think that 24 is being used as a tool for the Bush Administration, fear mongering Americans into believing that nuclear weapons are going to be used on American soil. Much of it started over at MSNBC yesterday, and there was a bit of it ongoing last night (MSNBC "viewpoint" here).

Apparently the idea of a suitcase nuke is something that scares a lot of people (it should anyway), and apparently because it brings up a point about American National Security it is the workings of the Bush Administration. Liberals drive me crazy. Can't they just sit down and enjoy the show instead of trying to shape it into some kind of political statement? We've known about this issue for a long time, and we've feared that it will happen for decades on end. Whats so different about this now? Because its on TV? Maybe we'll regret placing weak-on-policy Democrats to the House and Senate?

...Its just TV kids, good TV at that...

That's gotta be weird. You could be dead, Sage!

That or inadvertently have your car "borrowed" by Jack Bauer in order to kill terrorists. How cool would that be?

Yeah, and it was nowhere near as bad as Edgar's death.

Edgar's death was a very bad one. It was definitely very sad.

G.T

I thought Jack changed his shirt? Maybe I missed something.

Hmmm . . . this is like making a big deal out of Southpark. It is just TV. Take it for what it is and leave it at that.

Yay Facebook!

Facebook demands login. :(

Except Kal has only been in Season 6 (according to the Wiki), and we don't really know if he's dead. Jack shot him, but that was about it.

I have a Facebook account.

IMDB does not even have Kal listed as being in this season of 24.

Did Jack Bauer borrow your car Sage? That would be a cool story to tell.

Heh heh, no, Toyota steals all the advertising space, so Mazdas probably aren’t allowed. ;)

God, I know. I half expect Jack to say, "Mr. President! we need to get a car fast, preferably a Yaris which you can get at your local Toyota dealership with 0.9% financing! There's no time, supplies are limited!!!"

Don't forget about the NEXTEL product placement... Wonder how often Jack's calls will get dropped...

I've just watched the first 4 episodes and at first I thought it started too fast but after episode four, oh my goodness. That's all I can say.

I viewed both the MSNBC and CNN videos and I still cannot understand their point of view. CNN says 24 is some sort of fantasy. Are car-bombs, explosions in subways, and domestic terror cells not realistic? Doesn't CNN show every single car-bomb in Baghdad? Liberals do not believe that there is a War on Terror. They see is only as "American Imperialism". Utopia is nice, but that's not the real world. I'm not surprised that Liberals cannot understand a show like 24. The more I think about it, the more I see it as a ploy to attack Fox in general. Fox, the television network, has the highest rated TV shows currently. Fox News, the cable news network, is the highest rated news network in the country. If MSNBC and CNN wants controversy, they can create it, while getting the ratings too. If they can attack the President as well, it's an added bonus for their agenda.

My point is that the "guest starring" credits at the beginning show give away a fair amount of what is going to happen. Like if Dennis Haysbert were listed as a guest star next week, you'd already know that some supernatural ghost stuff is about to go down.

And Kal Penn's character did die. He was pronounced dead on the way to the hospital.

The guest starring credits do give away some when it comes to knowing what is going to happen, but then again I do not really pay attention any of the credits at the first of the show.

I've just watched episode 5 and damn, finding out that was Jacks brother was mad.

Bauer's brother and father? Damn, I'd be mad too if my brother was stealin' my girl and he put my ass in some jail in China.

Hehe, very surprising to find that he's his brother... Certainly adds some more tension to the story.

The question is, which one of them takes after the mother?

But seriously, the guy in the car who picked up that girl on the street, was that Jacks dad? I didn't catch Jacks dad's name but I think that guys was Greg or something.

He looks too young to be Jack's father... But who knows - the President is rather young as well.

Nah, James Cromwell is set to play Jack's dad. We haven't seen him yet.

This week’s episode really made me realize how little we know about Jack’s family/past. I really can’t imagine what the Bauer Family Reunions must be like, wow… Anyone else suspect that Jack’s nephew is really his son?? I kind of got that vibe when they met each other.

Also, it’s only been 5 hours and I already want the Palmer sister dead. Does she not know a NUCLEAR BOMB just went off? Stop getting in the FBI’s way, you idiot!

Dialog of the night goes to…

Jack: Are you going to give me some information? Or do I have to start hurting you?
Graham: Actually, you’re hurting me now…
Jack: Trust me. I’m not.

👍 👍

I finally got to see the episode. Last Monday, Big Monday for college basketball, OU was playing OSU and I had to watch that instead of 24. My dad was taping the episode, but something had gone wrong and we did not get the episode. So instead, he found someone else who had taped it and I finally got to watch it.

I have to say I was definitely surprised at who is Jack Bauer's brother. I did not really see that coming at all because I had all but forgotten about that guy from last season. Now I want to know if Jack's dad is actually involved in all of this or is it just his brother? Guess I will get to find out tomorrow.

To put it simply.

Wow.

Closest I've ever come to crying (didn't actually) while watching was last nights second episode (episode/hour 4 iirc).

Incredible stuff.

Hayes: "You think I'm some sort of bleeding heart Liberal?!"

You sure do act like it!

Nadia is a registered Republican. That makes her even hotter.

Just seen Episode 7 ...... dear god what a MAJOR twist!... well like 2 twists. You cant watch a full episode of 24! you should probably stop in the middle of each one because the cliffhangers are too painful!
