That episode where Jack finally got the last 2 nukes has got to go down as one of the 24 episode greats! Jesus! how manly can one guy be... he holds on to the bottom of a garbage truck with a huge axle spinning inches from his face then when he gets there lets all hell loose kills like 5 men and then even without ammo takes on Fayed and then hangs him saying to say hello to his brother... damn that episode was good!

Even the bit where they did the fake truck ambush thing, I really did believe it!

The next episode (possible spoilers)...... Where he really does kind of mess things up, well Doyle messed it up but Jack can't just die! Audrey seems really messed up... hope all this was worth it!

Oh and that Vice President... what a ass.

Interesting to see now how the rest of the hours pan out...

I really want to see a camio of Elisha Cuthbert..... even if its for one episode because it would be abit unrealistic for her to dissapear for so long.

It would be a bit unrealistic for her to just pop into the picture. Think about it, she hates CTU, she thinks her dads still in China and theres nothing to say she's still in LA. What possible reason would there be for her to just appear.

As for the vice president, an ass is the right word but there has to be an ass in power to conflict with Jack at this point. Audry did seem very messed up psycologically. Jack should have damaged the board before he got to that room for the exchange. Even if he damaged it in a way that left a small visible sign, it wouldn't have mattered, he was going to blow himself up anyway and he was never handing the board over until after Audry was safe. Jack can't complain that Doyle messed things up, Doyle did his job and followed a presidential order. Jack did what he thought was right, but wasn't for the greater good. Like Milo said to Chloe, do you think he could sacrifice Audry to save the data getting into the wrong hands.

I suppose, but maybe later on in this series they may release info to the public and his daughter that he is now free seeing as the major plot line has ended. If anything it would be nice to see a happy reunion at the end of the series but 24 never really does do that... or rather does it then snatches it away!

Hmmm, To give him the rouge agent quality again..

On another note I thought when the president collapsed at the press conference that the vice presidents assistant had done something (like drugged him or something) because she was really upset that she blew the plan to help keep Noah president.... This could still be true because he seemed relatively ok and that main stress of the crisis was over.

Thats TV I suppose, I totally agree, he chucked Chang the chip in a darkened room in a split second, I really could have been anything! And as you said he could have just damaged it or something! And where did those getaway Hummers come from??? They didnt arrive with the limo! The bad guys always manage to get away at first!

Tonight's episode was pretty boring.


Stupid Fox HD kept crapping out. I had to watch it in PD - Plebian Definition.

I have to say that this season has had a lot of episodes that seem to be filler. I understand they are developing the plot, but it has just seemed slow at times.
 
Mr. Heller seems ungrateful. Jack saves his butt (and Audrey's) from execution in Season 4, yet ever since he's been prejudiced towards him.

This season has been pretty weak in comparison to everything else. If it weren't for the first 4 episodes (Curtis getting the cut, nuke going off), even Season 4 would eclipse this.

What Mr. Heller said though is very truthful. Jack is cursed, and everyone does end up dead when he touches them.

Even I would be avoiding my son/daughter from him.
 
I've just watched the latest episode, and for the most part it was okay but one part really annoyed me. That was when they shot Milo. It's not because I particulalry like Milo, he's an okay character but nothing special. But it was stupid, it didn't make sense why thoes guys would kill him. His death was there simply to make people go "oh", and hopefully they wouldn't realise how stupid it would be for thoes assault guys to actually do that.

Think about it, they must have known that people would be trying to call into CTU while the raid was in process, they must have known that the acting director might just be someone that would have to respond to at least one call while they're there. And what do you know, she did. If it was Nadia who stood up, they'd have shot her (supposedly), but then they needed her (oh what a suprise). Shock deaths don't bother me normally, I didn't mind Palmers death or Edgars death, while Edgars was tradgic it was ust a case of at the wrong place at the wrong time, palmers was heavilly plot driven. But Milo's just made no sense, there was no logical reason for it.

I agree, is was abit out of script, I do like Milo's character and it was a pointless end, yeah ok it was about sticking up for Nadia and being the bigger man but why would those guys shoot him, surely they need him alive if he was the head of CTU.... which brings me on to the other point you made..

That scene didnt make sense, as you said it was luck that they just happened to shoot the wrong person because if she was dead it would be suspicious when Doyle called in, although anyone could have answered and said she wasnt available.

As for the rest its quite good but I dont see how CTU is going to get out of this situation, Jack will probably kill everyone single handed again and hopefully the tactical teams will eventually return and realise whats happened.

I also don't get why the grandfather wants Josh so much? Sentimental value? keep the company alive??

Oh and to add, it was confirmed that the next season of 24 would be set in London, will be interesting to see how its done, I can imagine alot of tourist scenery like a gun fight on top of the London Eye or something like that!

I tihnk thoes assault guys will just leave, they were told not to create a blood bath by Chang, which is yet another reason why it was stupid for them to just shoot Milo like that. They probably won't attempt to massacre everyone, they have the boy.

As for season 7 being in London, that'd be cool, maybe they could get some of the cast from Spooks in. Never going to happen, but it'd be interesting.
 
All of us here picked up the whole Milo problem. It's obvious - and very lucky for the terrorists - that Milo stood up instead of the real CTU Director.

We noticed another thing in that episode too. The Vice President's advisor (cannot remember her name...) going back to the room where her boyfriend is, to let him access her PDA again. She found it hard to excuse herself from his presence. Couldn't she just have said "I need to use the bathroom?"
 
Yep, she could have walked in, put her bag down and said "i really need a dump", not very poetic, but it would have done the job and I don't tihnk he'd have been asking too many questions.

Another thing I was going to say but I got caught up in the whole Milo death, was that Doyle imo is really coming into his own character wise, I hope he's a character that last a few seasons. In a few ways, he's a bit like Jack a few seasons ago when Jack worked for CTU. I like Tom Lennox's character as well, he's one that started out looking like he'd be a total sleazeball. But once the story got his personal vendetta against Hayes out the way you started to see just how driven by principal his character really was. Jacks dad hasn't cut it for me really, the whole "business" hasn't really been explored enough to come to any firm conclusions about that plot yet. What I'd really like to know more about, was that syndicate that was controlling President Logan last series that was (I presume) headed by Gram.

I was particularly curious about that myself. It reminds me off MGS2 and to more specific for those who played the game, it reminds me of the 'patriots'. It could make for an interesting plot line for sure.

On the note about Milo, I myself was annoyed, they have killed of one of the original cast from the first series. Now its just Jack and Aaron Pierce, maybe Kim if she ever comes back. Who knows even Alberta green, but they are going to run out of the old cast and that would be a shame.
 
Well, this episode was mostly good.

1. Morris arm-choke was funny.

2. Nadia saying that Milo was the only casualty in the CTU raid was funny when at least 6 security guards were taken out when the raid happened.

3. Jack's sliding shot was cool.

4. Josh's facial expression when yelling "UNCLE JAAAACCK!!!" in the helicopter without hearing his voice was hilarious for some unknown reason.
 
I also thought of The Patriots during this week's episode. Nadia finally took off her coat... that's a good thing. :sly:

 
...Anyone excited for the finale? I only ask that because it seems 24 interest here is dead in the water.
 
Well I was and still am excited for the finale. I think the general lack of interest in 24 this season is more due to the lack of significant action throughout the season. This season had a bunch of story filler in it and a general lack of action throughout. Having said that, the finale has been pretty good so far. Waiting to see how it ends to give my full opinion on the season.
 
...OK, the finale was a huge letdown. The action was too little, and Jack's meltdown at the end was working out to be climatic but it ended too early. Oh, and the fact that there was no big twist at the end to continue onto Season 7 was depressing as well (Tony, come back!).

Meh. All of this makes Season 4 look timeless. At least they're totally starting from scratch for the next season.
 
But who is the father of Chloe's baby? I'm guessing Nadia. Now wouldn't that be a twist?
 
The finale was a bit of a letdown. All of the action of the two hours happened very quickly and in a short time period. The last twenty minutes could have been cut out and I would not have thought of the ending or season any differently. There was no twist at the end and the only place I can see conflict happening at the moment is with China.

And seriously, who is the father of Chloe's baby?

I thought it was good, but I guess my previous assessment has to do more with the general lack of any action throughout the season. It was a fairly dull season packed with too much filler and slow plot development. I just have a hard time separating 20 minutes of a two hour finale and a 24 hour season and saying one part was just overly great. It was just an average season.
 
I was a bit disappointed too, especially after the rumoured interesting endings that could happen.

One slight scene I couldn't understand was when Jack was with his gun-shot father. He wanted to take him onto the helicopter to suffer for what he's done. They were both next to the boat his father was going to escape on, so couldn't Jack have carried him onto the boat, and sailed away? It would have been safer than running back to the helicopter too, in fear of not making it on time...
 
Jack should have let the boy shoot Zefram Cochrane just so he could grow some balls.

I feel like this story is done, I feel finished, and they can start everything over. Besides, they killed off everyone anyway.
