I saw the last twist at the end of the episode coming. I tihnk it would have been more of a twist if he'd have been on Jacks side. What a screwed up family.
 
Man, what the hell is wrong with everyone on this show? They're all so scared to tell the truth.

Now we've got Jack's sister-in-law whose not going to tell Jack the truth. I know this is my first time really watching the show, but I'm getting a little annoyed of everyone having no balls.
 
That one also really bothered me. Tell Jack already! I really do not understand why she did not go ahead and tell him. Then he would have been able to make a better judgement on what to do next. That part really wore on my nerves a bit.
 
Over here in Belgium, we're at season 5. So Curtis dies in this season?
I watched it yesterday. CTU got hit by the nerve gas.

*Spoilers (well, im trying to be as vague as possible)*

Yeah I agree she should have told him!!! What more is I cant believe Jack would have not smelt something fishy, isn't he trained to see deception, maybe his feelings are getting in the way.

I knew something was up when they asked Morris to go out in the field, just an excuse to get some action and someone to lead the scene seeing as Jack was down.

How does al fayed keep getting away from huge explosions, its soo stupid but I guess thats TV.

On another note..... the device Morris was forced to program the nuke with (gosh was that bit with the drill horrible!) is a Sony Vaio UX Micro PC gosh they are really nice pieces of kit (and can run Vista) but very expensive!

That Maserati quattroporte made such a nice noise when driven fast... very beautiful car, I like the way they have tried to get a saloon to give a 2 seater sports car effect.

At the end of episode 8... yet again a feeling of annoyance having to wait for the next.

Did you know Buchanan was also in Space: Above and Beyond? I knew I've seen him somewhere before.

Yeah, it looked pretty good being thrown around in that episode. At least they used the actual sound of the engine, instead of dubbing a random engine noise onto it like people usually do...

Oh, and obviously that bomb wasn't going to go off. Jack Bauer can't die yet! :lol:
 
It would be the biggest twist in the history or 24 if they killed him off before the half way point of a series though. I actually think it might be cool for them to kill Jack off, he's been through too much already imo, I've got nothing against them getting another lead in. They don't even have to kill him, they could justperhaps have him retire, for good after this season since the season will end with him a free man. I think it's stretching the realm of believability a bit too much at times now though. Also there's too much luck going for the bad guys in this season. I knw th plot can't be foiled so early on, but don't make them get so close amost every episode, only to loose all thier leads again almost every episode. I'm enjoying it, but it is becoming very tried and tested so far. Though there was a big plot development last episode that kind of reminded me of the film "The Sum of all Fears", one group is using another group to cause catastrophy in the US so the other group can take the fall for it and then they can get the benefit from that.

Jack Bauer is the REASON people watch 24, you know.
 
I beg to differ, I think people would still watch without him as long as the plot remianed good, that is unless in America everyone really loves Keifer that much. Personally I like the character a hell of a lot, but there's only so much he can through before the plausa bility goes so far off the scale you can't get it out of your mind anymore. I'm enjoying this season, but that plausability scale is starting toget noticed a bit more than it has before. Liked a lot of people in a lot of films and TV series that have been killed off, but that hasn't made me dislike the show or film. In some cases it's made it have a bigger impact. Whats going to make people go "oh ****" more, having Jack survive another 2 or 3 days of hell and save everyone yet again, or having him going to save the day then bang, Jack gets a hole in his head right when you arn't expecting it. Not bang and that guy you've never seen before the last episode or two standing right next to him gets hit.

Mind you, there was a lot of complaining when Dennis Haysbert got killed off, daft audience. I thought it was great.
 
I find it interesting how popular 24 is over in the UK for a program that’s so American. Just something I was thinking about.

Heres a question, why isn't Logan in prison? It was made public knowledge that he was arrested for treason wasn't it?

I don't get why Jacks dad didn't kill him in the end, obviously he loves him more than Graham and also that little schpeel he gave about family may have swayed him. The first thing I thought would happen would be that Marilyn would come in behind and shoot jacks father but instead LOGAN is back on the scene! :scared:

Also Milo... proper hero in that scene, hard as nails, gives Jack a run for his money! :sly:
 
Ofcourse, Prison break, that's one that I really like.

I'm not sure about Jacks dad, he's certinly not a family man, but I think one of the main reason he was willing to kill Gram may have been because he knew Gram wasn't a nice person. I think he would be willing to have killed Jack, but he didn't want to, and he didn't need to. He probably wants Jack to help him, he did leave the phone for jack with the message to call Logan, so he has a plan for Jack that's for sure.
 
Graem tried to kill his dad, Phillip Bauer, I think that's why his dad killed him. Loyalty to the family is more important to Phillip. Since Jack pleaded to his dad and tried to explain why he had to leave the family, Phillip spared Jack's life.

I don't know any liberals, prominent or not, who fantasize about killing the president, and I'm sure you don't either. However, if it makes you feel better to believe that liberals want nothing more than for terrorists to nuke this country and our president to be murdered, then go ahead.

And now any Brits that have Virgin Media (NTL) won't be watching 24 until Sky and Virgin Media finish their petty squabble. Apparently Virgin don't want to rip off their customers, I wonder what they've been doing with us for the last 5 years then.
 
Yep, I switched on today to find I no longer have access to Sky One or Two. Which was nice.
 
Skys last offer was apparently worked out at 3p per customer per day, or aounrd £1 extra on our monthly bill. It's hardly expensive is it? Not as though Virgin Media (NTL) are unusual to bill hikes either. Virgin don't exist without Sky, they should take more care.

It's funny how it's the first thing out of Alan's mouth. It's only condemned by mainstream Liberals because those who said it got caught in the act. The figure heads may have not said it themselves, but it's definitely the sentiment on the Left.
 
No, it's the sentiment of a few radicals who may or may not even be on the left side, you are mistaken if you believe that the majority of "liberals" feel this way.
 
It's something for Liberals and uber Liberals to sort out themselves. There is a lot of debate on Arianna Huffington's blog whether or not these people are giving Liberals a bad name or Arianna caved into suppression of free speech.

There is a division among Liberals and there is no doubt that some on the Left want death to a sitting president. It may not come from you or your buddies, but there is indeed a voice, and it's coming from the left ear.
