I'm in New Zealand and I played the demo as we didn't qualify for GT Academy this year.
After doing the 1.02 update, the GTR appeared in my garage.
I didn't get an email neither did I have to do anything to get it.

I participated as well, but Canada isn't eligible. I haven't seen the car in my garage, nor an email. :(
 
I think it's the same one as you get from golding S-license...
 
Hi,

I am from UK and got the GTR email (before GT6 was released), I am pretty sure it says free car and theme.

As of last night after I did the 1.02 Update I did not have the Kaz GTR.

P.S. I wish I was in the top <1000 of the academy!! (to 1st Poster). Add an extra zero or two for me!!!!
 
I haven't gotten it either, even though I also took part in GT Academy (I was even in our national finals).
I didn't get the mail abut the free car either (which I also posted about back when the gift was announced), but instead I got a mail which only allows me to get the free theme.

I know I can just buy the car either way, but I just don't want to miss out on free stuff if I can avoid it - and by the way, the GT-R N24 GT Academy '12 doesn't have many similarities with the car which we should be getting.
The GT-R Nismo GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport '13 is a full on race car - build to the FIA GT3 regulation (meaning rear wheel drive only)(and it's the same as the GTR Nismo GT3 and Base Model in the game), where as the 2012 version is almost similar to the street going GT-R in the drive train and suspension.

- Regarding the mail:
The text over the Z4 GT3 just said something about how to preorder the game.

Not world 986 haha, that would be insane. UK/Regional ranking in the Academy No.986. World ranking I think I can't remember, but it was something like 5000-10,000. Thanks :)

That's impressive on a DS3, I was just in front of you I think with a 2.21.9 (about 8-9000th in world rankings)

Back on topic though, I have'nt received an email or the car
 
Got the car aswell, everyone restart your game and it should reward you once you get in game.

But could someone kinda resume this whole Free Kaz GT-R for me please? or at least confirm my understanding:


You use PSN login "XXX" to do the GT6 Academy 6 month back.
Now you buy GT6, and you use another different PSN login "YYY" (but using the same console still).
Can you get the free car on PSN login "YYY" or do you have top play with login "XXX" in order to receive the car ?

If no, then could i transfer the GT6A from PSN "XXX" to PSN login "YYY"?

Never got the Email...................

.......but the Car appeared as a Gift Today 👍

An yep I did the GT6 Academy thingy :p

I was so far down in the qualifications I think I needed a different Passport :lol:
