Assetto Corsa 1.15 Update Lands on Consoles; Ready to Race Arrives This Week

We saw a huge AI update on PC a few months back. Is this that same update?

Should be... hope so anyway! It ought to bring us up to whatever that PC update was, I think, maybe more... did the live axle tweak come after the AI update (on PC)? edit: I've read elsewhere that this should bring us about level with PC 1.14.4.

Quite a long list for PS4... (apologies for posting this twice, I hadn't seen this thread)...

I was looking forward to this for quite some time, but it might be to late for me. PCars 2 is out next week.
YUP i uninstall this game a while back, But was thinking of installing it again just to try the P1 GTR out :D But since PCARS 2 is only now 10 days :gtpflag: I'll just wait till that games comes out better :)

Yep thats the one.

I just bought MXGP 3 on sale this morning and forgot to check for the update for AC. So not sure if i will pour Money into this DLC but i know that AC will give me the best driving Experience with the Cars compared to others

Awesome, thanks

PLEASE please will a PS4 player come back later and tell us whether the PS4 controller is now assignable...and most importantly, could we use the right stick for throttle+Braking??????

Please! I was looking forward to this, having been a big fan of NetKar what must be 15 years back....(in fact I interviewed Stefano once for RaceSimCentral). But without enough time for PC gaming or setting up wheels, I was hoping I could pick this up on PS4....but i guess i'm a bit fussy about controllers.

I didn't mind not having any of those cars, but I'll have some fun driving them.

First this evening though will be the live-axle AE86 at the 'ring :D

Yes, assignable controls are in. They added extra presets a while ago, one of which had right stick for throttle/brake. Anyway, screenshot of preset edit screen shows right stick set up like that :)

I was just playing around with the custom button mapping on the PS4 / DS4, but it does not fully work the way logic would think it does. Some commands won't save when assigned to particular buttons and some cars won't recognize assigned commands even though they should. For example, there's still no way to adjust TC in cars using hybrid systems / MGUs.

Aaaggh, I figured their first pass at customizable controls would miss the mark. No matter, I've sadly become 100% accustomed to the goofy controller layout I'm using. I figure if I did turn TC off in one of those hybrids I would do terribly and give up

I'm pumped for this update, can't wait to try it. I see they disabled auto blip by default (??) on 911 GT1 and Maser GT1... curious to see if they changed the way shifting behaves. I don't see why they'd mention that otherwise. A few cars here and there shift very poorly, most notably the 962's and McLaren F1  I'm talking paddle shift manual with auto blip on. I've gotten somewhat used to manually blipping but I am generally sloppy and it is not the most fun. Especially with the F1, which bounces the rev-limiter if you press the accelerator more than 20%

Agreed on PCARS2.... but! I have very high respect for Kunos as well for bringing a second good sim franchise to concoles and for that reason I will buy this new car pack (and all future ones).

Even though I much prefer PCARS over AC, you can't deny the fact that AC has a lot of sexy cars not in PCARS 1 or 2 (vice versa as well ofc). Both games complement each other nicely IMO.

I test drove the Alfa GTA and Ford Escort and noticed that both cars pull to the left under accleration. Is this related to the live axle simulation, or has something been messed up?

By the way, it's kind of pointless that the patch notes list fixes for cars that weren't in the game until today ("driver position adjusted in Audi TT RS VLN" and so on). Also, it says we can assign controls in the launcher. What launcher?

That's because when released on PC they then had to patch to fix some things. Launcher is the page when you can commit to race, change set up etc.

Very nice Kunos!
Wheel button mapping and accuarate Downshift Protection are the top fixes to me.
Thx very much, my respect and support to you, for sure I'll be going for your new DLC, this is my little contribution. This Game... Having this on console is just an amazing and glorious thing, I appreciatte it, like many others whom wants a very accuarated and dedicated sim physics like you has reached being such a little developer and on this kind of systems, your product is not for everybody, I know, but you had stamped your signature with this product. I enjoy your sim every time I can and every time I watching myself smiling about the car I choose doing exactly what It would Under limit driving. Thx again, greetings from Argentina!

Believe so, yes.

Please elaborate. I remember people praising the wobbly physics brought by the live axle simulation, but I don't recall discussions about the affected cars pulling to the left under accleration. Strange handling trait, no?

That's because when released on PC they then had to patch to fix some things.

I guess it does show the extent to which PC and console versions are in alignment, so from that perspective it may serve a purpose.

The launcher is basically the game menu system, it's a PC term.

Launcher is the page when you can commit to race, change set up etc.

Ok, thanks.
