I really like the sharpness and quality the 40mm produces!
Sorry I missed this before.

While the 40mm looks sharp (and it is), it suffers a lot in the corners when used with the A7. They appear smeared, which has to do with the sensor stacking on the A7.
Having said that, this isn't a problem with the lens itself and doesn't happen in more recent A7 models or Leica film cameras (for which it was originally design).

Also, I don't mind it one bit. It's still one of my favourite lenses and a perfect pair for the A7.

Still as good as I remembered. Some seriously great work recent. My favorite of the most recent is Scottish Highlands and the Aberdeen street shot - those are really tough for me.

That's a good question... it made me go check my files. And no, barring some family stuff, I haven't got anything worthwhile so far.
