As far as I know, YLOD is caused by high temperature, low temperature then high temperature again. Correct me if I am wrong.

ylod is caused when the solder solidifies severing the connection from the gpu/cpu to the board, by 'yes getting too warm. it was the 60gigs that had the hardest time with this, tho there are noted case's of the slims poping too.

just dont store the your ps3 in a drawer while using it ...give it room. the fan has 3 speed settings, if it speeds up a notch.. consider relocation or cleaning it to prevent this from happening.

I think Kaz put the real 24 hours race in the game to seperate boys from the drivers.

I'm 2 hours into the A-spec race and I'm sick of it, and I own a Miata in real life...

I started this around 11am. It's 6pm now. This has turned into an all-day affair with my ADD and other stuff I had to get done. I'm 14 laps ahead of the 2nd place guy though so hopefully after 3 or 3.5 hours I can just sit at the finish line. I'm on Lap 116. Lap 97 was my best time so far of 59.137 I know I can get lower if I had changed the top speed to around 120...I'll do another half hour spurt in a little while.

Level 25 Grand Valley 300km: Honda HSC '03 (S)
Level 26 : Roadster 4 hours: Mazda 110S '68 (S)
Level 27 : Laguna Seca 200 miles: Infinity Coupe Concept '06 (P)

Level 32 : Nurburgring 4h

So fat chance of getting Le Mans 24hrs can't be assed to grind that much, think I'll stay hopeful and wait for a content update for more events instead.

You unlock the redbull x2010 on lvl 30 its a special event and you can go from 30 to 33-34-35

Also, why are you saying that you have to grind ? its a racing game, just race you'll level up some day. I'm lvl 29 and i'm still doing the dream car challenge (lvl 24) with differents cars and I made all the endurance for my lvl.

Ok the indy 500 is REALLY boring. around 2 hours in a circle woohoo...

You want excitement? Try the Mazda Furai as set up for the Like the Wind Indy race. 200 laps of non-stop drafting and there is no way you will know you will win even on the last lap. You have to pit at the same time as the leading LMP runners though, normally the '01 works Audi's, otherwise you lose the slipstream. If that happens you can't win due to straight line speed disadvantage. It's the most intense endurance race possible.
 
I spent 8 hours and 10 minutes (B-Spec) finishing the Suzuka 1000, in the rain the whole time yet. Cannot see myself doing the 24 hour race.

dude nice i have the same fatboy and it hasn't been giving me any problems. that just proves how well these machines are made.
only at level 23, can't wait to play the 4h of nurburgring.

Dont worry about it Sony built these things well. Mine has been turned on 24/7 for a good couple of years now. If I'm not gaming I leave it running Folding@home.

Hey fellas,

Sorry if this question has been already asked...

but I'm about to run the B-Spec 4 hour roadster Endu and wondering if I can walk away from it after getting to the front with:

A) only ONE driver
B) Sports Hard tires
C) Pit Strat. off

I only have one lvl 26 driver... maybe switch up this strat. tires/pits wise and still stick with one driver and go to bed?

any help would be great.
 
Ok, now immagine doing the endurance-races when you're living in a place where the PS3 regularly switches of because of power-breaks. That's where I'm at. I can do them, but it ads a bit of unwanted pressure.
 
Just finished this race, wow! 4 hours, long time, did it all in one shot.
Lapped all cars about 19 times lol. In 4 hours, I did 220 laps, no rush really, what matters is coming in 1st :)

I agree with Tired Tyres, Indy & Daytona tend to be the most intense races due to all the drafting going on behind the leader.
 
I just finished the the 4hr roadster. I parked my car on lap 203 with about 25 mins left.
