450PP Japanese 90's Challenge

This expert level race event is for Japanese cars built in the 1990's. Tuning is allowed up to 450PP, and tires are limited to Sports/Hard or less. A "Performance Difference Bonus" system rewards cars with lower PP. For example, winning with a 410PP car will roughly double the reward.

Another 787B to add along side my low mileage 787B & Stealth 787B.

I'm using a Stock Spoon Integra dirty oil 415pp 217bhp. I detuned to 92.2% 200bhp 406pp. I'll see how I go.

All are easy enough with the 'INTEGRA TYPE R (DC2) '99' at 410pp.

will try different cars and pp levels in the next few days.

yet another easy cash cow.

car used: nsx 95
upgrades: none
oil change: yes
detuned engine to 75%
411 PP

won all 5 races with ease. and fell in love with the handling of this car again.

edit: lowered my PP to 380, lost by 1.2 seconds @ trial mountain >.< I think it's still possible if these silly cars would get out of my way.

Won all races with this:

Mazda éfini RX-7 Type R (FD) '91

Stock settings, nothing touched at all. Detuned engine to give 400PP and only Suzuka was a bit tricky, won that on the last bend. Try again later and see how low I can get it, good car to use though.

Haven't used a Midget for a while...think it was the last time this seasonal came round. Might be a bit more difficult this time as tyres are limited, depending on rabbits.

used the RX7-RZ that is in the Online dealership.....won most of the races with ease ...the Toscuna track they give us this time is a Nighttime track...and a long one 2.28 mins lap

Won at Tsukuba using a efini RX-7 Type RS (FD) 96, detuned to 391PP....184hp...1387kg.

Time 6:47,314.......best lap 1:06.7

$1,460,250 exp 143550.

just was starting 1st lap, before 1st turn saw oil was red . Went to change oil, came back and maintence is going on now!!!!

mazda RX7 efini Type RZ (FD) '95 no engine overhaul, no oil change, no aero parts, full custom suspension, twin clutch, semi racing flywheel, carbon shaft, full lsd, body rigidity, weight reduction stage 1, full custom transmition. PP 387 after reducing engine limiter to 70.8%.
Transmission as follows 1st: 3.507 2nd: 2.405 3rd: 1.722 4th: 1.307 5th: 1.040 6th: 0.866 Final: 4.593

ballast amount 50kg ballast position -50
Sports hard tyres traction control 1 abs 1 controller sensitivity 5.

end result was just over 1.5 mill @ 150%

Tsukuba with a Civic type R (EK) '97 tuned at 156bhp, 1088kg, 375pp

1,607,750 cash, 158,050 XP includes 170% bonus, with a 200% bonus the cash is over 2mil so it could be a nice little grinder. The car could probably go down another 5-10 pp as I came across the line a couple of seconds ahead

Edit: 150bhp, 370pp good for win, the lead car was a Savanna RX-7 infini III but still came in 1.5 seconds ahead at the line for 1,681,500 cash, 165,300 xp @ 170% bonus

Tune:

All weight reduction (not chassis stiffening)
Engine tune stage 2
Custom transmission
All drivetrain
Custom suspension
-15/-5
12.5/ 8.5
9/3
8/3
6/2
2.0/1.0
-0.20/-0.05
LSD 5/15/5
Ballast 200kg @ 50
BB 7/5
Engine power limiter 76.2%

Gears
1:2.998
2:2.287
3:1.807
4:1.471
5:1.234
6:1.066
F:5.233

2nd Edit: Easy wins at every track and the car could go as low as 350pp for Trial mountain and Toscana as I crossed the line 12 seconds ahead in both races. Just need to adjust the final drive for the other tracks.

You should try the nsx lm road car, that thing handles the best out of any standard japanese road car, make that any standard road car I've ever tried.

I did this with a Skyline GT-R, no mods and the pp was 449. Absolute walk in the park

Spoon Integra Type R is an easy win. Will probably play around with the power limiter later and see how much I can raise the credit bonus by.

Anyone notice that the seasonals are either a walk in the park or crazy hard?

Yeah, been like that over the past year that I've been playing.

This is only easy because the PP limit is 450 and the AI are limited to about 415. I don't even think one of the AI cars is even that high.

Whereas the 550PP Lambo seasonal, the AI was so tight around the 550PP limit and the Miura's were over. That's why that was one was so hard.

PD just gave us a really easy one this time, for some reason.

Which is the best car for an easy win?
As everyone else went with the RX-7 or an NSX, I used the premium Lancer Evo IV - Tsukuba was won by 18 seconds. It won them all with only a slight change to the gearing.

I'm going back to try a few different ones tomorrow, at lower PP.

I actually enjoyed this one, but again, was not too challenging. The night race was fun though, hope for more like that :D Here's my video as usual for this lot.

I did this with a tuned Evo 2 GSR and I found all events were easy with the right setup.
