450PP Japanese 90's Challenge

You should try the nsx lm road car, that thing handles the best out of any standard japanese road car, make that any standard road car I've ever tried.

Awesome. I'll give it a go tonight. The 95 seemed like it could easily go lower in PP and still win, but I did notice some oversteer in some corners. At low speed it was easy to correct (and had a little fun throwing the car around at cape ring). Can't wait to see what the road car does.

NSX Type S '99
12000 km on the clock no oil change
All non PP upgrades (no weight reduction/engine/exhaust or filter upgrades)
Detuned to 390 PP
Transmission down to 240 kmh
Winning was a mild challenge (had to restart a couple of them or run them twice)
Last race netted me 1,7 million @ 200% bonus
Really nice drive - had to throw it into the turns to carry the speed - the other cars had more straight line speed than me but the NSX can corner like no other car.
Could easily have managed at much less PP on some of the races.

Won all with mr2 spyder 99 1st time at 400 pp, for sure much lower possible. toscana most diff, sort of figured out where i was going 3rd lap.

Tsukuba with a Civic type R (EK) '97 tuned at 156bhp, 1088kg, 375pp

1,607,750 cash, 158,050 XP includes 170% bonus, with a 200% bonus the cash is over 2mil so it could be a nice little grinder. The car could probably go down another 5-10 pp as I came across the line a couple of seconds ahead

Edit: 150bhp, 370pp good for win, the lead car was a Savanna RX-7 infini III but still came in 1.5 seconds ahead at the line for 1,681,500 cash, 165,300 xp @ 170% bonus

Tune:

All weight reduction (not chassis stiffening)
Engine tune stage 2
Custom transmission
All drivetrain
Custom suspension

12.5/ 8.5
9/3
8/3
6/2
2.0/1.0
-0.20/-0.05
LSD 5/15/5
Ballast 200kg @ 50
BB 7/5
Engine power limiter 76.2%

Gears

2:2.287
3:1.807
4:1.471
5:1.234
6:1.066
F:5.233

2nd Edit: Easy wins at every track and the car could go as low as 350pp for Trial mountain and Toscana as I crossed the line 12 seconds ahead in both races. Just need to adjust the final drive for the other tracks.

I like this game..just did trial mountain same car 370pp finished 6 sec ahead

Won at Tsukuba with a TOYOTA MR-S S EDITION '99;

PP 360 ....113bhp. weight 934kg....52kg ballast.

Car already had stage 2 weight and tuning on it. No other power additions.

I would add the race was clean, no cutting corners, not that there are any to really cut at Tsukuba.

Total time 6:58 to win $1,917,500..........exp 188500.

Same track same car but lowered bhp to 110 (74.7%).......355PP.

Ballast up 74kg making 956kg all up, no other changes.

Win $1,976,500.........exp 194300.

Total time 6:57.847...best lap 1:09.129.

Lead car for both races was the Celicia GT-FOUR RC etc '91.

I been using the 1995 Honda Civic SiR-II tuned to 420pp and works just wonderful, will post settings l8r.

355PP.

Total time 6:57.847

Lead car for both races was the Celicia GT-FOUR RC etc '91.

The line up seems to make a difference. I just tried this with a 350PP Toyota Sera '92, finished in a time of 6:58, and was still 9.8 seconds off the lead car which was a Sileighty '98.

Line up is very important. Just ran tsukuba and finished 1st 5.998 sec ahead of 2nd place finish. Different line up gave me barely first before. Cr. 1,902,750. going for more. civic type r 97 361pp

97civic 355pp 6:58.88 total time. laps mostly 1:09 range one 1:08. 3.8 ahead at finish almost 2 million.

97civic 350pp and over 2 mil credits. done. btw the line up has a supra sz-r 97 first in the grid followed by a silvia spec-s aero (s15) 99

Yesterdays pole spot was the Savanna RX7 90 and earlier today when I won at 355PP it was the Celica GT FOUR '91.

Now it is the Toyota Supra SZ-R '97.

Anyway have won at 353PP....110hp......110 kg ballast to make 992kg total.

Total time 7:00.839....BL 1:09.4.

Win $2,020,750........xp 198650.

Love these races!

Going to have so much fun! :)

Quite easy.

Using an imprezza sedan wrx sti version vi '99. Completely stock apart from the non pp adjustingupgrades. Running on dirty oil pp comes to 449. Will lower it later and try it out. So far got 59secs on suzuka per lap and 1.05 on tsukba

I turned on the PS3 at the wrong time; While waiting for maintenance to be over, I took my newly acquired '98 300zx 2 seater out for a spin on Tsukuba in amateur series Japanese 90s challenge The AI seems a lot more competitive i.e. a lot more fun than on seasonal events. So my question is, at what level and how does PD set AI for seasonals, and could they turn it up, occasionally?

Last one for now is a win at 346PP.....71.5% power.

Weight 996kg with ballast of 114kg. Time 7.02 and BL was a single lap in the high 1:9 range with the 1st low 1:11 and the rest low to middle 1:10's.

$2,124,060........exp 208800.

There was no corner cutting etc although discussions sometimes became heated over who had right of way. I ignored them and kept driving.

Won Tsukuba and Trial Mountain last night using the CR-X SiR '90. Don't recall whose tune I used, been sitting in my garage for a while.

Going to try the others with my CIVIC TYPE R (EK) '98.

Liking this one a lot simply cause I have so many late model Honda's in my garage.

Why do people even bother about posting how "easy" it was in CarX at 450PP? Of course it's easy at the max allowed PP.

The point of these events is to find the car that can win with the lowest PP setting possible.

Right now I'm working with the '98 EK Civic and '99 NSX. I might also fool around with the Gather's Drider Civic and the Spoon Integra. Anyone find anything better than these candidates?

Anyone find anything better than these candidates?

The 'Spoon Integra' wins fine @ 410pp, as i stated in my first post, and i would bet it could do well at much lower PP.

Since then i have used the 'FTO GP Version R' @ 400pp, which is much more fun to drive than the Integra and could also win at lower pp.

I have also tried the premium R32 at Tsukuba and Trial Mountain , de-tuned to 220bhp and won without a struggle.

I think i'll be having a go with a few MR/FR motors next. :)

the seasonals (for me anyhow ) normally work like this A: I blow by every and win by at least 10 seconds or B: I get to 4th or 3rd and cannot catch the rabbits no matter what car i use or what tune...because of the simple fact that they start 20-30 secs ahead

I rocked a stock 99 NSX. It won easily, so I imagine that somebody will post low PP runs with it. It was a blast putting the nose in the corner and sliding through the turns. The lancers should be fairly quick in this series as well.

Just won trial mountain total time 9.06.508, 2.703 ahead. Winnings 2,252,250. Civic type r 97 347pp 132 hp 1214 kg. I just realized that I need to shift at a lower rpm because of the power limiter. duh. gotta beat that 346

Trial Mountain 9:09:727 total time, 1.32 ahead. 2,315,250 total cr. civic type r 97, 128hp, 1214kg, 343pp. as they say in myth busters don't try this at home. I'm tired.
btw celica gt-four rc 91 in pole position followed by supra sz-r 97

Easy peasy. New premium Acura NSX with no upgrades will gold all races and at 429 (?) pp pays out $1mil or so per race.

For more challenge I chose a '96 Mitsubishi GTO SR. Rebuild the engine, body give it an ECU upgrade to bring it to 412pp and a close ratio 5 speed tranny. Sport hard tires and everything off but the compulsory SRF.

Sure it's 4 wheel drive BUT @ 1610 kg of lard and sheet metal it kinda evens out.

Won again with a stock lancer evolution gsr '92. At 427pp. Going to try a different car at 415 now ;)

Used a mr-s s edition '99. Got first. Won 1.3 mill at 400pp on tsukuba.
Used a crx del sol sir '92. Got first. Won 1.7 mill at 370pp on tsukuba.

Good time (PP) Boxernman.

I mostly stuck to Tsukuba because there is hardly any corner cutting to help win.

At Trial Mountain the first, second, and last corners especially are great for making a quicker time in a 5 lap race.

Just wondering if you are availing yourself of the corner cuts I mentioned with your 343PP?

I have no problems whatsoever if you are, it's just that to keep it on a level playing field we all need to be aware of the options available.

I don't know if I'll even get a chance to have a try today.

Cheers.

Still working on winning these with the Cappuccino R/M. The horsepower disadvantage means that even at 450pp things are a little challenging...

Won at Tsukuba using a efini RX-7 Type RS (FD) 96, detuned to 391PP....184hp...1387kg.

Time 6:47,314.......best lap 1:06.7

$1,460,250 exp 143550.

Same car, straight from used (or online, I can't remember) dealership. Stock except for tires. Won everything except for Tsukuba. Used a Miata for that:):sly:👍 If I ever need money quickly, I'll do this over and over again:crazy:
