Is there a time attack that isn't going to get filled with cheaters? Every time i try those the top 10 are glitchers or grass mowers.
 
That's why I'm doing the rally time attack (eiger track W) you can't cut/use wall...the leaderboard looks clean.👍

With a proper power band you can probably get a few thents of a second better that my current best lap...my engine is choke down by 25%(peak power at 3300rpm) :crazy: :yuck:
 
What's the car anyways? I havent had the time to log on and see.

Most of the drivers are in other series tonight...first one who reads this and is ready to race should set up a public lobby and post the room #.

in all likelyhood, someone else will need to host tonite's Nurb night, i am heading outta town for a few days.
 
If anyone has that Subaru Rally Car, and will let me borrow it, I would love to see how fast I could go. I got a 1.06 in the new Subaru rally car, but that was all I could squeeze out of it.
 
i just jumped in my Peugeot and did like a 1:07. Top 1000 finish. I loaded a few replays and the car just doesn't have the grip of the top finishers. i didn't even check downforce though. Perhaps I should try tuning. Hah. I hate that everyone on the top uses the same car. There's got to be a way to crack the top 20 with something different.
 
I ran a ford escort cosworth, its more of a balanced car than evos and subarus, but handling was loose..did a low 1:06 after 5-6 laps. Then tried the EVO, ran a 1:03.9XX after a 15 min session, ranked 150ish. No idea how to tune rally cars.. Will give it another shot today with both cars with more tuning.

The wagon / open 450pp night was fun, we messed around with k_riens and booch, the public room was filled up by 730-800 PST.

I can host the ring room tonight, will post the room #
 
Rally Tips:You'll get better lap time when your tires are light blue/white (better grip/response).
-----------Drift as less as possible in the corners (if you slip you are not creating grip).
-----------Play with your camber settings (a lot of thents can be found here).

started with 1.5 / 1.5 camber, then to 2.2 / 1.5 which helped.

Should I go more aggressive ?
 
Yeah, slow in the corners until you see a straight line for the exit. Any time you have to counter steer you are losing speed. You want to drift on entry and a little mid corner, but keep the counter steer to a minimum on exit and you'll accelerate faster.

Yep, I try to stay tight..especially around the uphill hairpin, you lose tons of speed..

I doubt more agressive will help...
You can try lower camber settings from your (Started with)decrease by 0.2 each run or 0.1 if you have the patience....then increase from your (Started with)the same way...........you can feel it when it's right on.

Are the physics in the time trial online physics or freerun physics?

Love the entry into turn 1. Slower really is faster.
