I think I know what I'm going to choose. Deciding between two cars, one of which is an FF so I'm wavering a bit on that since we just did the C30.
Chuyler; your pass on lap 2 was clean. I was honestly pissed when it happened because it felt like you were kinda pushing your way into the line of cars. After I watched the replay it was pretty clear that you had a run on the outside and I didn't notice and continued to follow nik which resulted in our racing lines meeting. As I am a timid driver I usually don't try any passes in pack racing unless there is an opening or the gained position is important. My only complaint would be that there wasn't a reason to get in front if me when I was just following nik and esh. But again, that's just my style and not at all how it should be done by everyone. Like I said, clean pass.
That's a fair assessment. I tried to leave you room on the inside but after watching the replay I think the dirty part was squeezing you out of the next turn. I didn't pull in to the rumble strips, but I didn't exactly leave very much room for you to continue your line.
I think Nic was trying to make a pass on Esh but failed and all 3 of you were running slow. I was far enough back to run the turn at full speed which gave me a huge jump on both of you. It's not a place I would typically attempt a pass...in fact it was never my intention to...but when I was up half a car length I figured I would just go with it and see if I could make it stick through the next turn. Once I've established overlap I can be very possessive of track and I usually expect my opponent to do the same (reference Nic and I later in the race). You could have easily pushed me out on the next turn and it would have been fair for you to do so as long as you left a sliver of track on the exit of the turn.
Multi-car battles are tough because drivers in the middle have to balance making pass attempts and protecting their current position. Drivers at the rear have fewer opportunities to pass because the cars in front of them are drafting as well. Sometimes when a lead car makes a mistake, its the car a few places back that is in the best position to capitalize on it while the cars in the middle can't react quick enough.
Grenade; the only thing that bothered me about your drunkeness was the fact that I went to my fridge to find one beer. And the only liquor I had was my girlfriends chocolate vodka. It was pretty inconsiderate of you to be so drunk when I was left in agonizing sobriety.
LOL!
