$50,000 challenge

ok im goin to this gt3 tourny and the rules are u must use sim tires, the car must be japanese (acura ok) be under 3500 cc, and u cant spend more than 50,000 in mods. what car and setting would u guys choose? PLEASE HELP!!!

Are they excluding the Rotaries? If not, they are your best bet.

They'll generate more power with the same amount of mods.

Of course thats a loop hole.

nismo 400r, t5 rubber, suspension, spend what's left on best value power mods, preferably a turbo if you can afford it

Skyline GTR or RX7 would be the best bet, though an evo RS and Impreza 22b are also very good.

any Skyline is pretty heavy to be throwing around with much effectiveness on sims, not that it couldnt be done though. But the awd does work to its advantage.

About the other 2, I found for myself that the Impreza 22b is significantly faster on sims than the evo vi RS from the T300 a week or so ago with comparable amounts of tuning done to them.

Still, I think the RX7 would be the way to go though. They have an abundance of torque and ludicrous grip, particluarly for a FR.

tite, people actually replied! i was thinkin of the FD3S too (3rd gen RX7). no special cars by the way, they must be production cars.

RX-7 Type RZ. Has an incredible amount of grip. Extremely good handling, lots of power. It has no real draw backs for an FR street car.

Now, if you had to buy the car and then tune all for 50k... that might change things, as you would only be able to get a racing box for the rx-7... but it that you can just buy the car, and then spend the money... RX-7

Well, If you have to drive the car on simulation tyres...I would search for a light 4wd car.
I think maximum handling is more important then power in this case!

What, the Mira? Well it does handle good, but the FD would be better.

the price of the car is not included in the 50000. ya the rx7 seems my best bet for the money. i dont really like how the skyline gtr handles really. but any more suggestions would be fantastic!

How about the Tommy Kaira? (Not the ZZII)
It is pretty much a Lotus, and should outhandle nearly everything else.

ya just tried out the tommy kaira zz2. its good but not as good as the rx7. handles a smidge better, but really suffers with the power loss so the rx7 for me is about 3 seconds faster on laguna which really is a big difference. any fine tuning tips for the rx7?

MR-S... suprisingly good car, quite peppy on sim tires as well. Takes a bit to get use to the MR layout. FD would just be easiest to drive fast for that kinda money I think though.
