Did a few laps in the Spitfire and got silver with 1:13.9xx but there was no way I'd make 2 more seconds .

A stroll through my garage led me to my Evoque and a fun few laps. A scrappy 1:09.979 is the best so far.

It's sad to see that people hate the GSX/R so much nowadays (I don't hate it but I dislike having to use it) but what choice do you have if you want to see how you stack up against the other drivers in the world using the same car? I do use random cars to get the gold out of the way and have a bit of fun but I have to fight fire with fire to see where my time actually sits.

Anyway, not done the event with my main account yet but I stuck a messy 1:06.096 in on my other (Digtater) account after 4 laps, but at 5am, I was yawning and rubbing my eyes on the straights.:P Easily another .4 or so left and I haven't touched the gears yet.

(It's a Praiano tune dialed down from the recent Suzuka event.)

First attempt at this I let the randomiser decide my car and it chose the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse! Which was an interesting car to drive obviously suffering from understeer but I got around that and for my first lap I did a 1:10.742 but now I wll try and tweak it to shave off some milliseconds. Thing is I don't know how to tune.

Edit: I have no idea what I'm doing so I give up 1:10.742 will remain my best in the Eclipse

Avoided the GSX fest and used Ferrari Dino (perfect 500pp car) for easy gold on first lap

Early 1:08.873

I put Shawnm80's [Exeter-GT] tune on the Dino 👍👍: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/thre...seasonal-setups.300860/page-140#post-10200332

Although I couldn't quite catch the time I ran with the Miura [1.07.770], with the DFGT wheel, pulling the FG back to 3.140, short shifts to help hold the car in the power curve ran a very respectable and relatively EZ 1:08.575. Wonderful tune Shawn and Thank You bud!!

Props to the people who used completely different cars, my first car chosen by the randomiser was the 2006 Mitsubishi Eclipse now it has sprung the Honda Civic Type R EP which will most likely be an easy "Challenge" so if there are any decent suggestions go ahead! and I will try do them if there are any in my spare time.

The Evoque was good fun. I also got under 1:11 in a Storia x4.

Try this Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA '65. You will be very satisfying after getting gold. Just got back my PS3 after the blue-ray reading problem.

Had a few hours on this one tonight and I have put down the fastest Miura time [for now] with a 1:06.055 #365 :D and is the second place of the non Suzuki entries, but I don't think the RX500 ahead of me should count as it's a secondary account of somebody who already has a GSX-R in the top 30 :irked:

I used ,my 86gt 1:10
Well balanced car

The Dino and the Muira are epic cars. Low weight and loads of power to squeeze out. 1.08.5 is a great time for a car that isn't a glorified motorcycle. :)

Id like to see how many of you guys using the Suzuki can get gold using a car weighing 1000+KGS .... Just saying

My initial gold run on this event was a 1:09.x using the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG '08 with full weight reduction and power limited, then I swapped over to the Maserati GranTurismo S '08 with the same adjustments and did a 1:08.x, I've kept the replays too. 👍
With my current time using the Miura, I am yet to do a run in the Suzuki. :)

The @Ed_Night -setup i posted for the Suzuka-event in Juli, works nicely here as well -with a few adjustments, i got a 1:04.902 (DS3, ABS 1 -nothing else). This is it:

SUZUKI GSX-R/4'01

Oil change, Body Rigidity improvement, Install (any) Rear Wing
Install everything

95 85
4,83 6,25
1 1
1 1
7 7
0,0 0,0
0,00 0,00
BB: 2 1

Max speed: 180 km/h
4847
3593
3060 (3020)
2580 (2560)
2181
1860
FG: 3125 (3175)

LSD: 5 11 17 (5 15 17)

DF: 20
Ballast: 181kg at -8

The gears could probably be better: It goes 249 km/h at the end of the straight, which is a couple of km's slower than the top guys.

EDIT: New time: 1:04.829 with the changes in ( )
2. EDIT: Install Rear Wing.

Another lovely drive round this circuit is the GT40, well worth a run before succumbing to the lure of the GSX in the final days of this seasonal.
Power limited to 500pp it in Miura territory.
Ohhh yeah!! 👍👍 Dunno why I didn't give this one a try? It has done quite well in other seasonal's and TT's,, no reason it shouldn't run a nice, respectable time at GV.
