Looked at @HansDampf replay, and the only commonality with my lap was the fact that we were both hitting the same speed before braking for the first corner.....
1:05.383 - PAD/AT/ABS=1
Italian hunter faster but portoguese rabbit just a little faster...
I'm still using my general setup based on an older but still effective Eclipsee Bathurst TT tune.
For future lapping I briefly tested (10-15 laps) a couple of specialized tunes:
Praiano63: 1:05.671 - stable and precise
Roweer1: 1:05.460 - version w/o rigidity feels good for my driving style, for sure I will check more in the next days... thanks for sharing.

I saw your racing line, last night and today... You're faster than me going into the first right hand turn, and you even pull me going up the hill, but that's where I leave you... lol... As you go through those S's stay on the throttle, just turn early... You will carry a lot of speed going into those turns, before the tunnel... You can also stay in the throttle coming out of the tunnel... Try this, bro... You'll be in the 1:08's in no time... I got there today...

?? -It's right there in my post: 181kg Ballast at -8 Ballast pos. (or fx. 182kg at -3) Then: Oil Change and install EVERYTHING. You should be at 500PP, 263BHP and 821 (822) kg total weight.

Billy, thanks for the input. It's the first time I've had anyone on my friends list offer help/suggestions. I'm happy with my time since it was a gold. I don't like these TT's or Super Laps as PD calls them. I play GT6 for relaxation not frustration which seems to happen with these Super Laps. Once I manage a gold I'm done. I have no desire to continue unless I have a silver that is very close to gold. I'd much rather be racing than trying to improve an already gold time.
I must say it is nice having better drivers than myself to chase their ghost lines. So thanks again for the input.

I finally bit the bullet and bought the Suzuki to see how I stack up. Had to dig for a workable tune but a 1:05.231 is okay for half an hour's work, I suppose.

Did 10 laps in Ford Laser's tune, a bit loose for me because I use the DS3, but an easy drive really.

Many thanks to @o0Maxx0o for the tune on the GSX/R. I was able to get gold on my first lap. I didn't use his tranny set up because I was so ready to run this event I forgot.
Still got gold without it. Great tune and for me finally a Gixer that really handles exceptionally. Thank you Maxx đź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ťđź‘Ť

Sorry -didn't mean to offend you really. If anything, what i wrote was on myself! As you may have noticed, i was trying to help too -but, at least at first, to no avail. Then you turned up and gave an answer i didn't understand (at the time), to a question, i didn't understand. But by starting your post with a "nope", then surely YOU must have understood. So i thought, Hell, i'm being too explicable or whatever; if you can sort it out between you "short-message-style", then more power to you!
